To me, it seems obvious that almost all men have a significantly higher sex drive than almost all women.

It's obvious, at least for me. Hey got a question, recently a saw an anon saying that most ppl stop masturbating around mid 20s, due to less sexual desire. I hope that is a lie, i mean i haven't masturbated or have sex in a while, but as long as i am healthy i should maintain the same sexual energy, right?.. Right?
>>
>>34813587
It will go down after 35. Not mid 20s. Assuming you maintain a baseline of health.

Female sex drive can be as strong as male, but it operates very differently. Male sex drive is mostly about what's happening in the genitals: more stored fluid in the seminal vesicles makes you horny. But in women it is much more about what's going on in the brain. If a woman is upset or angry, her sex drive simply turns off, like flipping a switch. Men often misinterpret this as "withholding sex", but it isn't that at all. If you imagine that any time you're feeling angry or upset you get a feeling like post nut clarity, but about ten times as strong - it's more like that.

Both drives are affected by hormones, of course, but women on a much slower rhythm. Women have two sexual peaks a month, one at ovulation, and one either just before or during her period. Men have six or seven peaks and troughs per day.

Men generally have a greater desire for sex when they're not having it, but women have a greater capacity for sex when they *are* having it. It's not unusual for a woman to have a dozen or more orgasms in one session - not many men can manage more than one without having to take a break.

Female sex drive is also a bit more focused while men's is more indiscriminate: men can experience the feeling of wanting sex and not really caring who it's with. Women never feel that; but they can want sex just as much, so long as it's with a specific person they're attracted to.

testosterone is the sex hormone and men have literally 20x to 100x more than women. if you don’t want to have sex as much as a woman you are a low t piece of shit

I think its simply much lower, not more complicated or whatever. Women don't have a male sex drive that suddenly vanishes when they become upset, they just say this to obfuscate the fact that it is just lower or possibly to pin it on some infraction by men.
Just look at prostitution, consumption of pornography, dating app users, promiscuity of gay men compared to hetero women or lesbians etc.
Gay men would go out and have sex in public bathrooms and risk getting arrested, socially ruined, killed, getting AIDs etc. because both parties are men, and thus very willing

so basically women can reach peak sex drive same as men
but only very conditionally
that seems to result in: women have much less sex drive

there's also the phenomenon that after 12-24 months of being with a partner their sexual attraction for them goes way below honeymoon phase attraction
it's like they are hardwired to crave novelty

Men are exactly the same in that respect.

When your ovulating girlfriend is demanding sex for the sixth time in one day, you may change your mind about that. Women at peak are way *above* men at peak, but there's much more fluctuation. They average out to about the same.

This is simply a sign of male sex drive being indiscriminate, not of it being strong. Gay men don't want sex more, they just care far less about who they have it with. Once they've found the right person, women are probably more horny than men.
>inb4 marriages with dead bedrooms
That's the result of marrying the wrong man.

It's interesting to note that the idea of female sex drive being weaker than men's is a very recent one. Throughout most of recorded history, the perception was the exact opposite: that women's sexual drive was something far more powerful and dangerous, that you had to work extremely hard to keep it under control.
>>
>>34815467
Yet another proof that the sexual revolution was a mistake.
>>
>>34815467
it is more dangerous as it has more consequences, your daugther fooling around had mroe consequences than your son fooling around
But it is a bit silly and misogynistic to depict women as temptresses when they couldn't care less about getting laid most of the time
>>

Where do you get this kind of girlfriend? My ex had a healthy sex drive and she was never like that. Sure, she was more active, had better stamina, and did things she normally didn't do (licking, biting and smacking different parts of the body), but she was still herself, just in a different mood. But 6 times per day? This sounds like a pure fantasy, unless you're finishing in under 5 minutes every time. Stop pretending it's some kind of dr. Jeckyll mr. Hyde thing, because it is not.
>>
I think sexual drive works very differently for women. We are connected emotionally to our bodies in a weird way and our sexual needs gets high when our emotions are cared for. Words of affirmation and acts of service can really affect a woman. When you know how to communicate and work with it properly, women sexual drive can be much more unhinged and dangerous. RIP Nora, 2026-2026. Yeah.

>This is simply a sign of male sex drive being indiscriminate, not of it being strong
Same thing, its more indiscriminate BECAUSE it is stronger.

>Once they've found the right person, women are probably more horny than men.
What is the evidence for this?

>>34815467
People always says this when discussion of sex drive comes about. I have not seen evidence of this, and besides it is not relevant to the question. It was really the opposite, e.g Male homosexuality was illegal in the UK but lesbianism never was
>>
>>34815458
Holy larp
>>
>>34815498
I don't think it works differently, it is simply lower. Saying that all these conditions need to be met or that it goes away when one becomes upset or sad is just a more complicated way of saying that it is lower. The idea that women want men as much as men want women is just the result of men assuming women are like them and also a kind of hope/fantasy
>>
>>34812834
For a healthy guy it will be consistently high. For women it fluctuates more. Also for women the potential for cooming 20 times a day is there, for men not.
>>
>>34815592
Does it fluctuate more? What is the evidence of this? I think it is just lower. If it does fluctuate, it would be in a lower range
>>
Women can't cum and therefore have no reason to seek sex like men do
>>
>>34816106
They obviously are able, but seem to have less of a drive to do so
>>
>>34815627
nta, but women are cyclic, men are not.
Her sex drive is tied directly to her menstrual cycle.
Man on the other hand is always ready.
As for averages, yes, lower compared to men.
