I spend the majority of my time doing practically nothing, just boring, unfulfilling activities that do not bring me actual joy or anything, but don't require much or any effort eitherAs if my mind is entertained but me, myself, am notActing purely on impulses because I lack desire to truly do thing I have things that I legitimately enjoy but never feel the urge to do them, I never think of doing them - in general, I never find myself really thinking of doing anythingThings I used to enjoy (and still do) are not on my mind anymore, what I used to be obsessed with I have no emotions towards, I don't act sporadically, just basically exist in a state of nothingness where I desire more but crave nothingI think of how much time I've wasted, like how many pages per hour of reading ive sacrificed or episodes of a show I could squeeze into a day (not only consumption based things but this spells out the idea well) and how many the future will have in store.3 years from now, will I have continued to get nothing doneI can't really think of a solution to this, I am just in a state where I do not do much of anything, don't desire things, yet still sometimes enjoy things, while simultaneously never thinking about them or having any sort of forward momentum to do something, get creative, explore
>>34835957i do this toojust mindlessly scrolldont even bother to start up a game or a moviei manage to pick up my guitar and bass today and it felt 20x better than just sitting here\and yet i continue to sit hereand not start thingsor finish things
>>34835957Less screenshit more irlshit
>>34836302How would that solve anything I don’t want to do irl shit and never mentioned it
You have identified the problem and on some level actually want to change. Thats already better than nothing. Now you simply need to force yourself to do things other than mindless scrolling. You already managed to make this post, so you can motivate yourself. Set goals (X pages per day, finish this show in a month, watch a movie every week). Maybe even set an alarmclock to remind you to get off your fat ass and do something. Give yourself a reward if you fulfill your goaks, and a punsihment if you dont. Become disciplined, in short. Uf forcing yourself tp have fun is your greates problem, youre lucky
>>34835957I have the same kind of autismBut I do enjoy going outside and taking long walks alone
>>34835957Just by the length of your post i know what your problem is, you are too lost in thoughts which creates infinite excuses not to do something. Try this, next time something comes to your mind just do it immediately, if its physically possible ofc. DO NOT THINK ABOUT IT DO NOT EVEN ENTERTAIN THAT IDEA JUST DO IT. It really is that simple...
>>34836939Well Aight thenI’ll give it a shotI tend to think more about what I could be doing rather than desire to do it, hard to describe the difference, but I’ll treat it the same way
And desu I kinda just leave tabs open on my browser for things I wanna do but never do (ebook readers, word docs for things I’m writing, video players opened with things I plan on watching but never do, etc)I could probably change my desktop environment a bit to curtail my behavior
>>34835957I had this issue all my life up to about 29 yo. I don't know if this is relatable to you, but I was searching for an activity I "truly" loved and was good at, and every year that passed I thought I lost another year to get good at what I want to do. What changed now, besides adhd medication, is that I understood doing stuff doesn't feel so good in itself, even if you're really passionate about it, especially when you're beginning. It feels like absolute shit actually. Several times I cried because doing this thing I'm supposedly passionate about and that is supposedly very important to me feels like a lonely chore. Now I understand I need 2 things to keep me going. Concrete objectives and community. Concrete objectives is the most important, because what motivates you to try again is the memory of this time where you achieved your goal. You must have very clear, achievable goals in your practice. That's how you generate confidence you can do it. Community is secondary but also very important. Some people will inspire you, and beginners remind you that you've grown. Also your brain is wired so that stuff you do with other people feels better. Anyway, hope this helps.
>>34836939the only thing is i dont really think of doing things, that's sort of the whole point of thiswhich probably has an exponential effect of limiting my world view and taking everything for granted
>>34835957The s nothing to do. Take from a guy who's over 40, there's literally no way to improve life.Money has been devalued to the point of worthlessness. Work does not pay. Crooks are in charge of everything. Degrees, trades, skills, nothing will get you anywhere in life when the ptb are against you. You're not wrong. You're normal.
>>34836924+1 on that aswell>>34835957tip from my autistic ass: the moment you start thinking about something else than doing whatever you have at hand, get something to kill those cancerous whispers, like put Sam Hyde newpill2 clips and shit on your background - if you get distracted by those, at least you have something to think about that is in your benefit instead of going in circles about which areola size looks better for whatever boob size you're looking at
>>34838370well i dont think about doing things is the point im trying to make, but i get the point of what you meanestablish some sort of system / routine or failsafe?
>>34838565No, idea is to RETARDMAX, ZERO THOUGHTS, NO THINKING JUST DOING.Elisha Long, good guy, give a watch or a listen, he's pike an online friend. When thoughts appear IMMEDIATELY drown them with music or something else of value.I tried to not repeat myself from thread to thread, but it's simpler if I do.just like in >>34838271 from >>34837180
>>34839255Yeah you’re certainly retard maxing alright Stop shilling faggot streamers like that bloated idiot with the canceled tv show Sam Hyde lmaoooooDon’t bother with this shit OP it has nothing to do with what you described
Ok but how do you actually feel desire to do anything, I have no urges nor desires
>>34842274Good question
Try setting a plan for the day, either first thing in the morning, or before bed, or while you're commuting or whatever, whevever you have a reliable period of time. I find it's really easy to fall into inertia and decide there aren't enough hours in the day if I'm just winging it, but if I actually put down a plan for how to spend my time I'm surprised by how much time there actually is.It's hard to sit down and do things, even watch a movie or play a game, because these things require stillness and time, and I personally get distracted by "I'm just sitting here, I should be doing something." Doomscrolling is insidious because it gives you the illusion of doing something while also giving the illusion that no time is passing.
>>34843534I suppose when I have free time at my work desk (have my own office) I couldI’m trying to mostly keep my phone away and especially not doomscroll just to free my mind of that weight as is
It probably comes down to something like this1) Stop doomscrolling / limit it as much as possible - and especially don’t do it at work where I have a lot of free timeTherefore freeing my mind a little bit of acting on impulses, processing less information so I can think clearer, and give myself time to be bored / feel desire to do things againOnce my mind is cleared it will basically be blanker or a blank slate meaning I can do 2) Plan my days the night before / while at my job with an aim at building habits via repetition / scheduled actions (come home, change, do x, then y)Fight impulses to scroll or do nothingIf I don’t want to do certain things just be bored and wait until I feel desire againPerhaps this sort of plan would fix my two issues 1) being I have no desire to do things I once enjoyed 2) I waste time acting on impulse You can’t want to do anything if you never think ahead of what to do / feel cues to do it via habitsYou can’t ever do something if you fill time with filler shit insteadRinse repeat - so stop the cycle
You can check your natal chart to find out what your soul is passionate about. Look at your ketu placement, it's position tells you what your soul does NOT want to do because it has already done this thing quite a few times in past lives. For eg. If your ketu is in first house it means your soul is not passionate about anything in this world(it has lived and experienced everything) now it's ready to ascend. Only way to remedy this is doing grounding(walking barefoot on grass) and talking to earth/nature.
>>34835957You descript textbook depression symptoms.Have a good day.
>>34837058>concrete objectives>communityi had to walk away from this hobby of recording live shows that i LOVED. the objective was a good recording, most of the time it was a success, and i really liked the people that organized the shows, the regulars, and the people running the venues. two of my recorders broke, i lost my job, my car became a total money pit, i lost health insurance, and i started getting chronic nosebleeds all at the same time. i've been in a depressive slump since. i finally found a hobby with fun results that i learned a lot from, and as soon as the going got good i just drowned to a tsunami of horrid luck. it's made me feel hopeless, as if anything good in my life is repaid in quadrupled misery after.i'm so depressed it's like i don't even remember the successes at all, like if i went back and rebooted the hobby i wouldn't remember how to mix the results in audition because i don't remember the flow anymore. it's like i never achieved anything.
