My summer cabin had a a bit of strange odor in one part of the house, near my bedside. It certainly developed over the week between my visits. I'm anxious it might have been a dead bat. I tried to look for a dead bat near the smell (my bedside), but I found no bat. I didn't check every crevice, which is making me more scared. The odor wasn't putrid, it was a bit like dried urine or sperm. Now I'm scared it might have been on the shelf but I didn't look from there. Should I drive back to my cabin and check it again?

I drove back and checked every place. No odor anymore, and I found no signs of a bat anywhere.
