I like this girl from soc. We talk and she sends a tummy pic once in a while but she sometimes blows off our plans and said that she's picky about online relationships. She didn't respond when I said I'd like to hold her hand one night but responds pretty happily to anything else like a shared hobby or a movie.

Am I fucked or can something happen from this maybe? I'm at a point where she seems guilty not talking to me daily but sometimes I could care less if all it means is a real connection someday.

Okay anon

anon, you don't have a gf. you would need to at least hold her in person to ever be able to claim anything. rn you two are larping a connection, with her clearly being in the decisive position over anything, thus making you a piece of furniture.
you like the pics she sends? go ahead and continue. but don't imagine it will ever proceed any further than that

Sucks to hear but I probably needed to hear it. I will mention that I've been in a long distance with attempted labels and she trauma bonded to me even if she did treat me like shit the entire time. It's not to say that it's a relationship worth pursuing, but that maybe my level of attraction is enough to get someone worthwhile if I put myself out there enough irl. Thanks anon.

Ldr are valid and you discounting them is sus

this is hardly a ldr buddy. I've had actual LDRs. We'd video call all the time, watch movies together, sext, talk about our days, make plans for vacations we'd visit eachother or destinations. We'd then save up for said plans and fly out to places together and stay in a hotel for a week or two of rabid fucking. What OP has, sounds like a typical soc foid that has a group of orbiters she likes to farm for attention.

I'm OP, me and the girl draw together, watch movies together and talk about our days. About a month has gone by and things seem a little drier yes which is what makes me think maybe things are fucked. It doesn't change that she wants to keep things platonic
>"aren't good relationships just really great friendships?"
but she knows how I feel about her and reassures me she isn't seeing anyone before I even ask her. But at the same time she seems in no rush to talk to me right now. So it has me thinking I fucked up

Look man, all I can really say is from my experience with people like this on soc, if they aren't showing active interest in you or being proactive in engaging with you, they're usually talking to other people. I think the only way to approach this would be from a place of seeking friendship, as that's clearly where they're at with things.

As for why things are drier, for them, it could just be a casual thing, for you, it's not. For someone seeking casual intimacy, when someone starts taking things too seriously, if they're a decent person, generally speaking, they'll either pull away or just end things before you get overly invested and end up hurting yourself. Really, we've all been where you're at man, and if you continue trying to pursue something romantic with someone who has pulled away, you're just going to end up hurting yourself and getting upset.

Now, I could be completely off the mark here since I don't know you or the person you're talking to, but hey, who knows, I draw as well and also frequent soc. Maybe I've already spoken with them before and am thinking of the same person you're thinking of. All of this to say, you seem to be pretty aware of the shift in dynamics, you should do some self reflection and honestly ask yourself if you were seeing something more where they were never interested in that to begin with.
