I really regret not having worked while in college.

Whenever I see a young student working some part-time/low-tier job (waiter, etc.), doing their best, I feel inferior and emasculated, despite having a big boy corporate job myself and probably at least 10x more money than they do. I envy the work ethic that I didn't have back then.

How do I cope with this feel? Yes it's retarded I know.

get a job, that's it

Have another source of pride than work.

(And this is like being envious of a 10 year old child who wakes up at 7am and walks to school every day. They have to. If the student can't eat otherwise, there's no work ethic, they just have to do it to survive.)

rewrite your memories.
one solution. not the best.
but if done right it can enhance your self image. make sure it can't get invalidated by getting a tax sheet of all the works you ever did. you simply prefered to work tax exempt until you changed and thought better.

also:
who wants to be a slave anyways? i am currently coming from NEET life and working on a life project. for this i joined the slaves in order to learn certain skills. i can see how they are basically void of purpose and most work to support their families. or because that's what you do.

also if you fake your memories make sure to include real valuable lessons by asking the people who did and/or are working these jobs what some lessons are. otherwise they are just void.

make sure you alter your memories only to release trauma. never to create it.

samefagging.
and others who know you complained about not having been working will talk behind your new storry behind your back.
so you simply gaslight them, as well. you just remember now, anew. as you had thought it was maybe not legal, you kept it away.
something like this.

this will change how you see people who work illegally. it will change a lot of things in your life. beware of how you handle it so you translate good and smart views about life only.
