my ex used to live with my family and I for 3 years, we had been dating at the time, and I broke up with him last year and he barely moved out 3 months ago after being told I went on a few hinge dates with men I matched with.

He left sporadically and all his items are still here, I packed up everything for him and got everything ready for him to pick up, but when I upgraded my monitor I had planned on using that and the old one to have dual monitors for my work and setup, he ended up asking for it and this was a bit after we broke up, I felt so bad for breaking up with him, that I let him have it. He left the monitor here, and im wondering if I can just take it back? or atleast hide it away from him, he lives about 5 hours away and has no means of really coming back. He lived here rent and bill free, so I atleast feel like im entitled to it financially and was coerced into giving it to him.
Hes picking it up tomorrow and I have no idea what I want to do

This is by far one of the stupidest yet most believable threads
>>
He doesn't care about it.

A monitor is such little money that in the grand scheme of things it comes down to how do you personally feel about it.

If it's going to be something that you think about every time you look at that monitor or you feel guilty in some way then it's prob best to get rid of it and get a new one.
>>

If you've promised to give it to him, you should keep your promise. Not because he deserves it, but because you'll feel bad if you don't: you're clearly someone who feels guilty often and intensely! You can get a second hand monitor on eBay for not very much money.

I agree. Keeping promises is very important to me
>>

Have you been keeping up with hardware prices woman? Hold on to that monitor for dear life.

TVs and monitors are the one piece of tech that have still continued to get cheaper.

I suggest picking up a 32" Samsung odyssey g5 (model g55c). It's on sale now for $199

>every time you look at that monitor
I actually thought about selling it and using that money to buy another better monitor
I feel so burned by him I dont think I would think about him, I am trying to not think about him

I'd just dump it in the trash and pick up the one I linked. Not worth the time, hassle to resell to be honest.

There’s no way some lady came to 4chan with this question. While you may have your reasons, it is clear that you don’t respect or even like this guy anymore. You just wanted to tell the story of your dates while he still lived in the house?
Good for you. 100% of women have that option 100% of the time. It’s just that some of them don’t do that.

>32" Samsung odyssey g5 (model g55c)
Can we make this a monitor thread then? I do a lot of 3D design and art for my work, what would be a good monitor for that then? Read a few reviews that curved monitors arent great for art and design

I dont respect him for many reasons like how he wanted to troon out instead of focus on getting a job and his license. I only told him about my hinge dates because he kept asking me if we can get back together, and I told him I felt unloved and undesired by him, and eventually I admitted to going on dates on hinge to see if I could feel desired by other men since he ruined my self esteem. No I didnt have sex with these guys so stfu I know what youre thinking
>>
>>34846214
>I don’t respect him because blablabla
Yeah I know you stupid bitch because I said “you may have your reasons” before even stating it.
You are a cunt. You were going to do whatever you wanted before posting this and you’re going to do the same thing after. I’m glad you got to tell your story about being a very justified slut, though.
>>
>>34846129
Could've at least given it away.
So it could be used by someone else
Rather than just letting it be e-waste
>>
>>34846264
>slut
>never had sex
Ill take the first half of what you said, but slut is an exaggeration. Anyways, sorry about the one that got away but I dont think taking it out on other women is going to make you feel better in the long run

I like that monitor because it is 16:9 and 2k at 32" is a very good size. It's oled and has great color balancing with 1ms response time and 165 hz (typically your PC will set it to 144). It also had free sync and gsync which is rare for a monitor to have both (you won't use it if you have a decent GPU though).

Yes it's curved. I have never had it be an issue with my gf
Graphic design work but the only I could see is if you need to eyeball vertical and horizontal elements that are very far apart and see if they are in line with each other and dont use a grid for demisions. 1000r is the same curvature of the human eye so the image looks natural. The monitor also has great color accuracy for an OLED. The rgb backlight on the back of the monitor is gimmicky, same with the 2 front RGB lights on the bottom. I've never used picture in picture. The later models of the g5 cut features and made the display ration not a
16:9 and more ultra wide so media does not full screen and there are black bars on either side.

Don't be so literal
Throwing it away is the same as putting it on the curb with a free sign or dropping it at the thrift store. I just don't believe going through the hassle of listing it online and dealing with shipping for that little money, or fb marketplace with the people who waste your time and schedule, cancel, no show, low-ball and harass. No point to have that kind of stress in my life. If it's a money thing I look at how much I'd make and put that next to the amount of stress it gives me. If I would pay more than the money amount to remove that stress (hypothetical) then I don't bother to list the item.
>>
>>34842698
Well who's monitor is it, who paid for it, that's who takes it back
>>
>>34849737
If you are using the word "monitor" for her, then yes I take her back
