Thinking about going to a psychiatrist and asking for ADHD meds. I am diagnosed. But going to the psychiatrist costs quite a lot, so i'm not sure. And would he even prescribe them to me on the first meeting? I mean, it's kind of annoying to have to go multiple times. I'm in europe btw

ADHD meds are tricky. You'll need at least 4 appointments, so the dosage can be adjusted up and down until it's at the right level.

my coworker has taken adhd meds his entire life and he's mentally braindead.
when he stops taking them he goes wiggy from it
but when he's on them his long term memory is fucked
i'd only use the meds for test study then run for the hills.
what is it impairing in your life?
there's other threads on this here

"Wiggy"? And i just wanna see how it feels. Am i actually retarded and have been living siginficantly impaired?

my coworker basically had to stop taking them to get a cdl. you aren't allowed to get that license if you take those drugs so he quit for a month, but he was no longer functional on the job without them.
he'd been taking them for 20 years at that point, but it was like going to talk to a soldier to then speaking to someone with ptsd.
sadly they couldn't get their cdl, and ended up dooming their career because both on and off the drugs was causing issues.

i also feel like if 90% of the world took those tests they'd be declared as having adhd.
i don't think you're significantly impaired or actually retarded.
i think taking them long term is a bad idea though. doctors don't care about the long term consequences of prescribing these drugs. they're also just trusting the science.

Find someone alr prescribed and try em. You probably are retarded but that just means get smart not take meth
