has left me scarred and deformed. I can't believe some of these salaries I see. I grew up poor in a troubled household, and all anyone ever told me was "go to college for a subject you like". So of course I chose a retarded useless degree.3.5 years out I'm interviewing for $60K jobs. Meanwhile Chad knew better and joined the military and makes $150k+ a couple years in, or Stacy becomes a dermatologist assistant making $200K. Like what the fuck? How do I cope? Yes I know I can change things and hopefully get there too, but damn all these years studying and working in a disrespected bullshit career when I could've been saving and investing fuck you money. It's very depressing. The number in your bank account determines your value as a human. Life is only worth it if you win the birth lottery in a wealthy nation and have parents that give a damn.
try to make money online. it's hard to get rich with your own business, let alone via a salary
>>34845642Shit demoralization LARP, an enlisted isn't making O-level pay in just a few years, unless you're a retard who's including shit like G.I. bill bennies and VA care they make you fight to actually receive years after you get out.
>>34845642fuck you money isn't income, it's liquid assets.
>>34845765you need some cash flow. if it's all paper gains then you can't buy stuff with it.inb4>just get a bank loan from your stock holdingsyou need beyond fuck you money to do this efficiently
>>34845772Which part of "liquid assets" did you not understand?
>>34845782stocks are liquid assets, genius.
>>34845754This. My dad was a dumbass zogbot and retired as a fairly high tier officer. He literally never made that much kek and it took his entire career to get that far. He did other stuff that increased his income over the years like owning properties but that was something he built over time and didn’t get for free in his first years kek Obviously the circumstances of your birth matter and obviously some people luck out more than others. Thats never a reason to just sit back and not even try for a life you want. It’d be like being interested in a sport but then watching the Olympics and not even ever trying it because a Chinese 18 year old mogged you at it on tv.
>>34845784So you're saying you don't understand the "liquid" part? Because it sounds to me you have no fucking idea what "liquidity" means. Here's a hint: it doesn't mean "you can get a bank loan on it".
>>34845806are you retarded? you can borrow against almost anything including cash, bonds, and stocks
>>34845642>I grew up poor in a troubled household, and all anyone ever told me was "go to college for a subject you like".lmao why the fuck would you ever listen to people that ended up poor? have you thought about your own premise for 2 fucking seconds? you don't get rich listening to poor advice... they would be rich if they knew!
>>34845820>borrowother's money isn't your money, mr genius
Well at least none of you deny that the number in your bank account determines your value as a human.>>348457546 years from zero experience. Let's also ignore sales, law, doctors, SWE, etc...>>34845910Yeah no shit. "Passion" is supposed to give you the grounds to be good at something that can translate to being the go to person in your field which means great money. Or so I was told. By everyone. They said "go for any degree, after your first few years it doesn't matter and what you learn in school can be valuable in many different fields". Yeah fuck you all. What's your fuck you money making career that I should have done?
>>34845967kink porn in 2020-2021>nowadays, jackassstick welder
>>34845642 lol i find this funnyIve been neeting my life away but i think i might catch up in no time bc i built skills while the average person has no savings and only worked their ass off for someone else during all this time. So basically not much changed since i left school. You only need those crazy salaries if youre consooming rapidly devaluing shit to show off, else its just wasted sweat. Also those crazy jobs that pay like 100-200 require some degree of seniority and can be very stressful. Id rather have something that pays less + investments
>>34845820jfc but you're dumb. you really are utterly ignorant of what "liquid" means in a financial context.
>>34845642I don't know what to say ur just too fucking retarded to live bro
>>34845642I'm on the flip side of this. I wanted to be an actor my whole life and decided to go to college for comp sci in the 2010s for financial security. I chose the "safe and secure" route and it ended up not being that safe or secure at all. I had a very well paying software job (that I hated) at a well known company for a couple years, but I got laid off last year and couldn't find a job in software and now work in a completely different industry. Nobody could have really predicted Covid then AI fucking up the whole economy like it did. I've been ruminating on this and honestly I should have just tried to be an actor instead since if I'm going to have financial insecurity anyway I should at least be happy about it. The grass is always greener I guess. But the point is there are so many factors outside your control that you can't really deal with what ifs and you must forgive your past self because he made the best decisions he could with the information he had.
The more technology progresses, the easier it is to make money. It's never been a better time to make fuck you money than now. You're older (and presumably wiser) now and have the skills and determination you didn't have when you were younger. You cannot change the past. Accept it for what it is and keep moving forward with a different perspective.
>>34846670Liquid is not a binary, retard
There are a few rare cases of people getting rich through dumb luck, like the Hawk Tuah girl, or being lucky enough to be born into a rich family.Outside of those, most really successful people had to make a ton of sacrifices to get to where they are. You are seeing the end result, and only the positives in places like the news and social media. You are not seeing the dad who neglected his kids because he was working too much, or the woman who wanted a family but focused on work instead. Not saying anyone who is rich is a bad person, that's not true at all. But as with anything in life there are trade offs and most people don't discuss the downsides at all.
>>34845642You could start investing early, if your banking establishments give you the right to do so.
>>34845642If all you care about is money why didn't you just pick the money making fields
