About a week ago I emailed a girl from class for her contact, and she didn't reply. Today I was supposed to hang out with their group but suddenly her friend saw me and said she won't go if I'm with them. Apparently they said I made her feel very uncomfortable and I'm weird. What should I do? Should I even apologize in person or just email her again with an apology? I was just scared to talk to her that's all. And she said I was following her. I wasn't, she just happened to be there that's all.
I know I was autistic for doing that, but does it really make someone uncomfortable like that?
Bump
>>34846843Youre fine. Ignore the negative opinions of others.
>>34846843what exactly did you say?from the picture you're painting the person sounds like a sensitive faggot and did you a favor by showing their stripes.the one thing i'd have done different is ask for contact in person.at this point your options are to either walk away from the group as well to avoid any further drama.or stick around. chances are though if you stick around, the girl will try to sabotage your existence in the background by forming teams and isolating you from the rest of the group. i don't know how close you are to the group or the individuals within it. i'd just ignore it if they were good friends and act like nothing happened.if the woman isn't going to talk to you direct, what can you do? do you really want to play telephone with friends? that's ultra gay. you didn't try to rape her or something, right?
>>34846843What you did was weird af. You're giving serial killer vibes.
>>34846843Its weird as fuck and comes off creepy and stalkerish to ask someone you see IRL through email of all things. The natural course of things is taht you chat in/before/after class and swap contacts if theres interest. If you have to resort to email, you've obviously been too scared and did the virgin thing of pretending not to desire her IRL, then you come and ask her out of the blue through mail. Its weird.Apologizing to her or her friend and admitting your insecurity and anxiety as the cause of your behaviour is probably the best course of action.
>>34846843You just don't look good enough. Thats it. No matter what you did you would have given her the "ick" because you arent a 6 foot 5 stud curly hair bad boy jock. Dont try to gaslight yourself into thinking its anything more than that. Guys literally get ghosted all the time for no reason at all because the guy is not attractive enough for them but they just ghost to avoid accountability and either initially want the attention of the guy asking their number or are too scared to flat out reject them. Its all about looks and height. Wealth too, but that usually becomes more important to older non college age women.
>>34846843She may or may not be overreacting but she seems to think that you won’t leave her alone or will stare creepily or something. Essentially, your presence is preemptively considered to be harassment. If you truly and honestly sent her nothing that indicated this and never acted in a way to make her behave this way, then maybe this is just a brutal rejection because they like that sometimes. If you did give her a reason to believe that then idk man but that’s what’s up. Don’t ever talk to her again. She doesn’t even care if you’re sorry.
>>34846948I said something in the mail like: hey I'm xxx I was wondering if I could get your contact, I was the one sitting beside xxx.
>>34846971Omg. You fully described what I was doing. But wouldn't you think apologizing to her in face would make her freak out even more and essentially relight the whole thing? But you're right, in the future I'll have to man up and stop doing pussy shit like this
>>34846948Yes I'll start distancing myself from them. But I'm stuck with them for the semester, which makes things Abit awkward
>>34847078don't apologize or you're claiming fault over something stupid. it's weak to treat yourself like that, because you're apologizing for something you weren't even aware of (and isn't a problem in the first place).like i said, next time just ask in person and don't be a hermit crab.this person's a walking red flag and would likely claim you raped her if you even asked her on a date.the less thought you give her the better.like i said they gave you their response by ghosting you and telling the rest of planet earth. is this really a person you want to associate with at all?
>>34847091the best revenge is not showing someone you care and improving your life.if you value the friend group, just keep showing up. if they want to draw the line and avoid the group because you're there, that's their problem and not yours.if they see you happy with the group, making new friends and finding another relationship they'll have to cope with proving you're not weird and managing without their presence.
