My son is turning 9 and he wants Lego Friends for his birthday. How do I explain to him why he isn't allowed to play with girl's lego sets? I asked him if he wants Lego Star Wars/Minecraft/Ninjago but he wants the lego sets made for girls

I wanted one too at his age. The thing is in a normal lego set 99% of figures are male and you need a set specifically made for girls to get a reasonable number of female ones. My village of lego city firemen, star wars clones, ninjas and knights looked stupid with almost no women in it
