I am not sad. I am chemically depressed. I know what sadness feels like, this feels more empty and less sad.
I quit a bad habit that I have had for most of my life including formative years. I successfully made it past the point where my body is screaming at me to relapse, now I am dealing with a very very noticable chemical imbalance.
I would like some advice from people who went through clinical depression, especially relating to addiction or habits.
Notes:
>I have no desire to self harm whatsoever
>I have a strong desire to disengage, which I am doing my best to fight and try and see other human beings.
>I work out and do my best to eat balance, but I have gained a lot of weight since quitting
>I do my best to keep healthy nutting habits, even though the desire is fleeting to keep hormonal balance.
Please keep in mind that I am not sad, I appreciate the types that want to help, but this is less about cheering up and more about coping mechanisms for a chemical imbalance.
Also, I do not do not want to be medicated and am not on any substances

There's no such thing as chemical depression or chemical imbalances. You're going to have a tougher time dealing with your addiction if you bark up the wrong tree and place blame on something that doesn't exist. It may not be sadness you're dealing with, but whatever it is it's mental.

errrrm that's not true though

You should do something with your life that isn't nutting, comfort eating, gymcelling and annoying other people. Maybe get a job, meet new people and annoy new people rather than old.

Bumping again.
Hopefully this time the replies will be less unhinged

I don't really have anything better to offer you than hit the gym or go for a walk or even buy a new videogame. You're going to have to wait out your hormonal system.
