Hey adv. I still think about this woman I had this whole summer love thing with and it's starting to make me feel like it's a bit unhealthy. I've been 5 years and I still think about her everyday. Sometimes I think that I see her at the grocery store and my heart sinks. I have no delusion that we will ever become anymore more that memories, but I can't seem to shake still being in love with her.I Don't have anyone that I can talk to about this so any thoughts advice or opinions are really appreciated it. Thank you.

past lovers never really leave your memory, they will always be a part of you.if you're thinking about them TOO much, though, and by too much that's basically anything more than a random "ahhh I remember her....good times" at random moments, it means you're not doing enough in your personal life and are reverting to the past to feel whole.Turn to Christ, get a hobby, spend more time with family are the first few steps.
>>34849282I know the feeling, anon. I keep thinking about a bonkbuddy I had in 2015, even though she's married with a child now. The reason is that I exist in a drought of women right now and so my mind just repeatedly lurches back to memories of random females. The trick is to practice dismissing your thoughts, Thoughts grow with attention, try telling your mind to shut the fuck up whenever it happens, this is basically a primitive form of meditation. I'd suggest reading Richard Carlson's book on controlling your thoughts.
>>34849359>past lovers never really leave your memory, they will always be a part of youno, not really. I met my first real love at work while I was in high school. we worked shifts together most of the time, just the two of us, during weekends, in the evenings until late, etc. she had a bf back then, but we still spent a lot of time alone together over a year and a half. at one point, we made a promise to marry each other if we were still single ten years later. our workplace had to close, so we lost contact. there were some more changes that led us to drift apart. more than 5 years later I remembered the promise we made and looked her up on facebook and I just didn't feel anything. even today I remember her maybe once every few months. looking back, nothing of value was really lost.
Intrusive thoughts is such a bitchmade feminine concept. Nobody is intruding in your head faggot. You think aobut your ex because you miss some aspect of her. You need to get some new pussy. Even if the new girl is not as sexy or cute or whatever. Just move on with your life and it will go away.
