I’m 26 and a NEET with no future; do you think it’s a good idea to enroll in a community college to study for an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Electronics Technology?

probably not. at 26 with no direction, you'd just be investing in something you don't believe in.
If you're a neet you should first start by getting a regular job, forming a baseline of stability in your life, then when that is done you can sit down and ponder your future.

But I want to do it; I’d like to be a salaried technician—I’m not looking for anything more than that.

that wouldn't be enrolling in community college exactly that would be signing up for a tech program which many community colleges offer, but it's not really an "enrollment."
I did this in my early 20s, I signed up for a TIG welding program at a local community college. It was three nights a week for six months.
I got a certificate, got a TIG welding job, did it for a few years, then switched to passivation as I did not like being a welder.
So if you just want to do a program then go for it, but I assumed you meant become a 26 year old college student with no direction and if that were the case then nah.
Also keep in mind....a lot of jobs don't really ask to see your college program certificate. I worked multiple welding jobs and not once was I ever asked "are you certified" or "can I see your certificate?"
They basically just asked me to weld two sheets of metal, drug tested me, then gave me the job.
Look into what job you want and then find out if employers even look for credentials. If they don't, just watch a lot of youtube guides, buy practice equipment and teach yourself.

It involves two years of study; it is a university degree program.

eh it's up to you anon, but typically if you're your age, you really shouldn't get into two year programs unless you're absolutely sure you're going to stick with it, even if you end up hating it.
at your age you should be aware that there are no perfect jobs. Work is work and a good job is a job you can tolerate, it doesn't mean you enjoy it.
I hope things work out for you, God bless

I really need this to work out; otherwise, I’ll just be another unskilled worker. And I hope God helps me.

Trust the Lord in all things. No matter what happens. Give all your fear and anxiety to him.
You got this anon

this bullshit even apply to a specific career field? just go to trade school. nigger like 1% of college has to do with a job. the other 99% is manchild daycare.
>>
>>34849302
Yes it's a good idea, and if you don't like it, career services are still available to help refine your path.

Just get job
