Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes. I'm trying to cut back on my porn consumption (not sure if I'm addicted) so I stopped watching it for a while. When I stopped I didn't masturbate for 8 days but I barely even noticed. But on the 8th day I masturbated (still no.porn) and it was like the floodgates opened and I masturbated 2 more times that day and probably could have gone for more. I even did it two times the next day which in itself isn't unusual for me, but it feels as if my libido has shot up in the past couple days, which concerns me a little. But what really concerns me, and the reason I'm posting here, is that I noticed that since I've been masturbating to the power of imagination it's only taking me about 3-5 minutes max to cum, and my loads have been way smaller and almost completely clear. Before when I was watching porn, I would build up the orgasm a bit and I would usually take from 30-60 minutes to finish and my load would be much larger. Is this a sign of premature ejaculation? Or something else that I should be worried about? Is there anyway to fix this? I'm 33 if that matters.
masturbation is ok, a natural way to release libido, it's the overstimulation provided by porn that worsens thingsjust remove porn and wank liberally using either your imagination or just focusing on your sensations, don't overthink it
>>34851563So is that a normal amount of time for masturbation to last?
>>34851627yeah, 3-5 mins is normal
>>34851485No such thing as premature ejaculation only inability to ejaculate
>>34851485There is no problem here. Relax. If you want to take longer to come, take longer; if you want to come quickly, come quickly. Do whatever is enjoyable. But stay off the porn: that shit is toxic.
>>34853569I hear this often but why exactly is porn so bad? And what exactly constitutes as porn? If I'm jerking to swimsuit magazines does that have the same impact as gooning to sissy hypno?
>>34854073For what i understand it shoots up your dopamine levels and gives u unrealistic exceptations of sex
>>34854098Okay but what constitutes as porn? Does it all affect me the same?
>>34854073>I hear this often but why exactly is porn so bad?(part 1 of 2)For a number of reasons. For example: 1) The more you jerk it to porn, the more your brain becomes conditioned to respond to porn instead of to actual sex. This results in you being unable to get an erection or have an orgasm when you're actually having sex; but that's just the first stage: as the problem becomes worse, porn users eventually lose all interest in having sex at all, and instead treat sex as a sort of live-action porn re-enactment where they don't treat the other person as a person at all, but merely as a prop in the scene. Sometimes sex is reduced to them watching porn while the other person pleasures them, and they have no interest in doing anything else.2) Porn is very much like an addictive drug, in that you quickly develop a tolerance. Things that used to arouse you stop working. So you look for something more "extreme", and for a while that works, but then you need to escalate still further. Eventually you get to the point where nothing works, and you don't even enjoy masturbating any more, you just keep telling yourself that NEXT TIME it will somehow, magically be better. 3) Porn use is addictive, and escalates. You start using it occasionally, then end up using it more and more. After a while it isn't about pleasure any more: you aren't jerking off because you enjoy it, but because you feel like you have to, and can't seem to stop. You spend more and more time gooning. Eventually it gets to the point where you're missing job interviews, and passing up opportunities for dates, because you're at home masturbating. And finally you end up watching at porn at work. (See https://www.abc.net.au/news/2004-08-19/judge-accused-of-masturbating-in-court-resigns/2028612 ).(to be continued)
>>34854747(part 2 of 2)4) There are a number of morally questionable practices involved in making porn, and the more extreme it gets, the worse it gets. You may start with something comparatively wholesome, but before you know where you are, you'll be watching videos of men ejaculating over unsuspecting female strangers in the aisles of Dollar Tree stores. When you're jerking off to videos of real life sexual assaults, this is a problem. (See https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-interactive/2026/jul/20/dollar-tree-sexual-assault-gooner ).5) Porn bears about as much resemblance to real sex as a movie car chase resembles real life driving. But far too many people think it's real, and this ends up making people think that certain things are normal when they're actually extremely dangerous. For example, there is no safe way to strangle someone during sex. Strangulation during sex can lead to strokes, problems swallowing, incontinence, memory problems, depression, anxiety, and miscarriages; it is now the second most common cause of strokes in women under the age of 40. But porn has made people believe it's normal, to such an extent that men think it's normal to strangle a woman without even asking her if she's okay with it. This sometimes results in women dying.6) More generally, it subtly reinforces other unfortunate beliefs and attitudes. Women in porn have no agency: they are simply objects that exist for the gratification of men. Men who watch a lot of porn have a tendency to start viewing women like this in real life.
