Since summer 2024, I’ve taken melatonin gummies every night to sleep. Not only do they get me down, BUT when I wake up in the morning I feel like I actually slept well.

About 2 weeks ago, I’ve decided to go cold turkey and cut them off. However, I’m dead tired in the mornings. To make matters worse, this Monday I start college- and from the looks of it I’ll need to catch an early bus to get there.

What can I do to stop feeling like shit in the mornings?

2 weeks is the minimum after which the brain can slowly begin restoring the neurochemical balance. keep it up for a few weeks more.

but as a night person i can assure you this will never feel as natural and healthy as simply getting your sleep until "late", starting the day slowly, performing between afternoon and very late at night and going to sleep then.
no matter for how many years they tried to push me into the cage of "normal" daily routine, it never changed my natural rythms
