So this is kind of a weird situation I'm in but basically half a year ago i got added to a group chat by an old friend of mine for this project they want to set up for like a communal house/living type situation. They already technically live in the house though it belongs to their parents and they want to invest around 6 figures in construction/repairs and things like that. I was never really asked if i wanted to be a part of this group and honestly besides the several potential dead ends i see it leading to, living in a communal house and spending loads of my money/going into dept isn't something I'm remotely interested in. But because I'm kind of a people pleaser/pushover and i didn't want to sour my friendship i kind of went along with it and though "well let's see where it goes".Thing is where it's gone is basically just filled me with more certainty that i want out and also because I'm kind of not very interested i guess I'm not really "doing my fair share" in contributing to the project and two out of four of us, who live in the house already hae started to get slightly irritated with me and I've been "reprimanded" of sorts twice now.So the question is, how do i leave this thing without making things sour with my old friend?. Do i send a text? What should i say exactly?. We have our weekly zoom call meeting this evening
