26, Graduated college, lost 50lbs from 2 years ago. Still overweight but trying. SEVERE ADD case to an incredible point. Heed my advice. If you're young you're figuring it out so don't stress too much you got a life to live. And plenty of time. 30s you might be fucked, but still try and maybe get meds.STOP trying to perfect everything you do, stop trying to do the andrew tate david goggins bullshit of waking up at asscrack of dawn and running 10 miles and shit where you will burn out. What we have is a will shortness disorder more than anything. You will get more willpower but it doesn't grow very fast for there to be incredible change. It took my 3 years to change it with trying and I'm pretty sure my brain activity did the heavy lifting. I'm still pretty debilitating, but i'm better than years ago.You need to do what you can be consistent enough with every day. No you do not need to do it every hour and minute precisely on some CEO schedule we do not function like that. You need to force yourself, keep doing things in the most managable way to prevent burn out. You need to develop patience. Instead of "Omg i cant gungho college and graduate in 2 years i drop out now" no do "Okay I'll take 2 classes each semester and work my way through it" and instead of completing your degree in like 8 years with 3 fucking gap years you will atleast of had something to work toward in 6 (My mistakes)YOU CANNOT overload yourself. YOU WILL be miserable and YOU WILL burnout. I've even burned out multiple times working around myself but what matters is you keep trying even in your most minimal state. What matters is the objective getting done, not the quality or being the best or any of that shit. That will come with it. Work by far is my worst thing, but I've found work that compromises to my needs in america this day in age. Theres hope. You just need to do little by little because the human experience theres no such thing as big steps, rest, and going foward.
there are at least 2-3 "i have ADHD" threads per day, it seems inorganic to me. just shills making sure it stays legit in the public consciousness?
adhd has entered public discourse because it was underdiagnosed for decades.just get with the times old man. there is no grand conspiracy here.there is, however, lots of wizards who lost their best years to undiagnosed neurodivergence. so if anything it should be talked about more, not less.
