I have a big collection of public domain and open access ebooks and I like them a lot but I would like to own them as physical books. The bad thing is that even if an ancient book is in the public domain, the translations you can buy in book stores or read at libraries are not public domain or open at all.
And I want to have those specific books physically.
What can I do about it? I was thinking about printing them but that would be more expensive, my other idea was print the covers and paste them on a notebook and then I just copy the entire book on a notebook by hand, that idea seems good but it would take me months if not a full year to do so

People throw away books. Check donation places and trash piles, libraries and schools. Sell what you don’t want and keep what you do, owning a printing press would be a pain in the ass but making covers could be fun.

Second hand books aren't all that expensive.
