>the longer you go without socializing the more difficult and awkward it is>the only way to get better is to practice going to social functions>basically no friends to go to any with as they all moved away or drifted apart and are starting families, serious relationships etc. >awkward and quiet the entire time I dont know what to talk about. I feel like people are analyzing my every word and my behavior. And then can immediately tell something wrong.Im basically fucked aren't i? Having a normal social life seems like such a difficult thing nowadays. No one trusts each other. No one wants to let an autistic weirdo into their social circle. I get it. Has anyone who resonates with this been able to get out of it and improve? I had one friend who i haven't seen in months i could hit up and see if he wants to hang out. I can socialize with him well because we've known each other since we were like 12 and are 30 now. He has lots of friends, a girlfriend, friend group he does things with. I feel like im a burden though like hanging out with me is a chore he feels obliged to do so he doesnt hurt my feelings, because he kind of knows how i am. He's brought it up before that i am shy, and it's true. But oh well. Thanks for reading if you did. :PGuess ill just keep doing parasocial copes like 4chan and discord
Fail a lot and learn from it.
>>34876128i thought this was gonna be a zach advice post.nicotine and liquor was/is/will continue to be the ticket to success with social retardationdidn't read the body of your post but good luck and don't use discord
>>34876128you need to shake yourself out of your ruminating, self doubting, anxious state.best way to do that is rigorous exercise. people that say it doesnt work didnt get their heartrate up properly. next up meditating or just simply yoga breathing can regulate your nervous symptoms.if neither help you are going to need some sense of achievement from something to get confidence.but socializing comes natural to most people.
>>34876227>don’t use discordUm why
>>34876128It's difficult, but not because no one trusts each other, but because it's more comfortable for you and me to stay in doors and not try, than to try. I know I'm right because I've done all this before. And about half a year later I was like, okay enough. Dropped all my hobbies and friends that I've acquired, and went back into hiding
>>34877379online friends are bullshit. low effort flakes for 99.9% of cases. anyone with a ldr should prioritize getting together asap.sure you can go that route if you're socially bankrupt, but you will reach a point where you see the ceiling.there's enough long distance relationship problems even with people that met in person for distant jobs like maritime, wildland fire, aviation etc.how long does op want to cope with half-solutions?>discord serversthese places are even worse. every server i found was flooded with about 5-10 people with 18 hours a day devoted to the server and therefore controlled cliques, flooding the board with the majority of 'content'.when you look behind the curtain to these peoples lives you realize you're participating in the human centipede devoting time to eating recycled waste.it's the same pathology you see in reddit. regulars become mods -> mods dictate board culture -> board culture becomes cliqueish with good goy/bad boy behavioryou either become a dog, face banishment or leaveeven the 4chan discord servers become this way. the recycling becomes an endless supply of e-dramaits a waste of life. video games and the world would be a better place without its existence
