My favorite deodorant has blue 1# in it. Should I keep using it?

Yes, you can keep using your favorite deodorant. Major global health authorities, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Commission’s Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS), consider FD&C Blue No. 1 (also listed as CI 42090) safe for topical cosmetic use.

Because the molecular size of Blue 1 is large, it cannot easily penetrate healthy, intact human skin.
