I'm not the type of person that would drink alc. or smoke, etc. However if there was an exception I would make that would be Ketamine: It is like LSD without the spiritual aesthetics.
Besides potential bladder damage, what do I have to worry about?
Risk of Psychosis?
>>
Quick google says you can cause damage to brain, liver, and weird psychiatric shit
So don't spend every day in a k-hole
>>

If I were to do it, it wouldn't be on a daily occurence.
>>

That's between you and your own relationship with ketamine OP i'm just here to answer your question
>>
>>34903378
How exactly does it damage your mind?
>>
>>34903382
from wiki
Brain damage

Despite the balance of palliative benefits which planned courses of therapy can confer when patients face serious medical conditions, long-term ketamine abuse is known to cause brain damage, including reduction in both white and grey matter seen on MRI imaging and atrophy seen on CT scans.[88] Cognitive deficits as well as increased dissociation and delusions were observed in frequent recreational users of ketamine.[89]

i shouldve clarified that the 'weird psychiatric shit' isn't necessarily damage but it's weird psychiatric shit like dysphoria

Is there any risk of developing mental illness like depression &/or schizophrenia?
>>
>>34903489
I'm pretty sure ketamine is an antidepressant? Schizo idk

sorry for the AI slop, c&p'd from grok

>A survey of 187 frequent users found 86% reported long-term personality changes, alongside memory problems (93%) and slowed reactions (81%).
>Social withdrawal was a common cluster.
>Imaging and questionnaire studies of chronic users show higher self-reported impulsivity (Barratt Impulsiveness Scale) that correlates with years of use, plus altered connectivity between the putamen and orbitofrontal cortex, regions involved in reward and inhibitory control.
>Some people show the opposite of “mellow”: irritability, paranoia, or frank manic episodes with reckless spending, travel, or sexual behavior.
>Others describe emotional flattening, apathy, or feeling detached from their former self.
>These can persist weeks to months after stopping, though many improve with abstinence.

Yikes.

its a hypnotic dissociative, it cause retro grade amnesia in some cases. Recreational use of it is retarded.
>>
>>34903350
Pretty sure it can exacerbate heart issues

And idk about psychosis but someone I know who used to do it regularly would just start screaming until he came down.

>myself included have had damage after only a few uses
can you elaborate on this? What kind of damage and how did you notice it?
>>34903489
Porbably the highest among all party/recreational drugs. As another Anon mentioned , its a dissociating anaesthetic , not a stimulant or a psychedelic like almost all other such drugs.
Its probably okay if you take it rarely and in (very!) small doses, I would not use it in any capacity beyond that. Anyone who offers you a fat line of the stuff, stay away from them. And never do lines from someone you don't know unless they very specifically tell you what they just put down. Next to GHB its probably the only party drug that crosses the line from fun into straight fucked up.

i have a buddy who did ket a couple of times. not regularly. nothing really happened to him, health-wise, he's doing fine. still a gamble though.

Unbelievable how stupid some people are these days.

Not really. Very few drugs are innately dangerous, it all depends on their use.
Something as harmless and universally available as beer can fuck you up irreversibly and give you permanent organ damage if you abuse it, likewise irregular use of low dose Ketamine is practically harmelss while chronic use or high doses can mess you up something fierce. As always, the dose makes the poison.

Man ketamine is fairly popular where I live and I've been in a k-hole (in public, actually) and honestly it's not like being on a psychedelic. You don't really get any images or visuals, it's like everything becomes black and you can hardly keep open your eyes and if you do, you barely see anything and you snap in and out of it. Like you're somewhat conscious of your surroundings for a few minutes then you go back in to the 4th dimension and you can still hear people talking to you but it's all distored and weird. In low-ish doses it's kind of like being drunk but you don't get hangovers, so that's nice and in very low doses it makes you a bit disassociated, which can be fun, I guess. I'm not a druggy but I have dabbled and It's hard to rate... I know some people that absolutely love it and some people that really hate the high. I guess it could work in a therapeutic setting, because it sort of gives you a 3rd person kind of view of yourself and it can make you forget about yourself but not like in a super ego death you would get from psychedelics. It also doesn't last super song (you do get some after effects for a few hours) but the main high is like an hour or so but you also lose your sense of time so it might seem longer while you're in it. I wouldn't worry about psychosis but do your research.

>Is Ketamine a safe drug?
I hope it kills you
>>
Ketamine is nothing like LSD. For me at least, a few key bumps and I will begin to feel numb and slightly disconnected. Any more and I'll start to get the worbles and need to lie down. Further than that is complete dissociation. Don't know how this became popular as a party drug since it produces like no euphoria (at least for me), and I only use it infrequently in small amounts since it kills my urges to drink/smoke/relapse on benzos. It's not IMO a particularly fun drug at all. Go ahead and buy half a gram and take a few small bumps to get a feel if you want, you'll largely be safe assuming it's clean, but be prepared to be disappointed if you're searching for an experience like MDMA or something.

billions if pepole have a few beers on the weekend and do just fine. Not my problem youre a nerd. Thanks for Proving my point, as even doctors will tell you that alcohol in controlled and irregular doses is perfectly harmless
