There is advice and truths which people cannot handle. Everybody with anything even close to what is presently considered “autistic” has had this issue where you say the obvious fucking thing and it pisses everyone off. The person did not desire the “help” of hearing about the obvious. They wanted something else and this was socially clear to everyone else. Or they couldn’t handle the reality and everyone else is treating them with kid gloves.
You just learn better what people actually do and do not want to talk about. One of my most embarrassing early professional stories was exactly this. Got a nepo job at fancy money company right out of high school

Regardless of being retarded or autistic, the point was that I completely misread the situation and started running my mouth about something I thought would make it better but instead made it awkward the entire time. I eventually learned how to fix that with experience, which was the question at hand. Why didn’t I handle it differently? Because I didn’t know yet. What kind of 40 year old lady is obsessed with being a nerd and goes so far to defend it like that either? She was consistently an irritating pedant after that too so my assessment that she was a weird fuck wasn’t even incorrect. I just didn’t know how to talk to those people yet.

Last year I was in therapy. Therapist tells me I should be more assertive, because I'm way too meek. Tell him I accidentally bumped some guys car, absolutely no big deal, guy was angry and I was pressured by his anger, by inertia I tried to please him and bribed him 5 dollars for him to fuck off, and he still went away angry and I felt walked over from something I thought from the beginning was jackshit.
