Your desire to be self sufficient will be respected. You will have no one to blame for all of your failures but yourself.
Rejecting advice leads to having to learn hard lessons on your own.

Such an attitude! No wonder you crave BBC and dress up like an anime cat-girl.

At the end of the day, all of your mistakes are your own. Whether or not someone gave you bad advice it was still your fault for acting on it. /adv/ is somewhat of a good place for seeing another perspective but most people only want there perspectives to be validated.

If you were given bad advice, and took it genuinely which led you to ruin, would that mistake truly be yours to blame?
The choice was yours sure, but the mistake that came from bad advice?
I'd argue the advice giver would be in direct fault.
Legally speaking there is a "duty of care" in which an advice giver can be prosecuted if they knowingly and purposefully gave paid advice that lead to the direct harm or death of another.

Since no one is paying us, there is no direct record or legal obligation to provide good advice, but I still carry myself properly as an advisor and consultant when it comes to jobs both paid and unpaid.
>tldr: nuh uh

If I took bad advice and it led to my ruin, the only person I would blame is myself. No one in this world can be trusted. And no advice should be blindly accepted.
If you get tricked, you can only blame your own naviety. If you lose in a game of chess, do you blame your opponent for being better than you. No, you can only blame your own lack of skill.
As a society we condemn scams, but the one at fault is always the one who fell for it.
