My father was never loved by anyone in his birth family. His father abused him physically and emotionally, his mom tormented him emotionally, and his siblings abused him sexually. He always treated me with unfailing kindness and never disciplined me or set limits because upsetting kids reminded him of his own childhood. And for that reason, you could easily argue that he was a far worse father than his own ever was. I had a live-in cheerleader housemate moreso than a parent. So yeah. Basically I just want to know how to forgive my dad.
Trauma is a lot worse. For the most part you can compensate for lessons not learned and catch up on those in adulthood. But getting rid of trauma is way harder compared.By providing for you and not giving you significant trauma he's ahead of a lot of parents unfortunately.
>>34909366What do you mean by forgiving your dad? You're just attacking him the same way the rest of assholes in your family did.Your dad will fucking die you know? I lost mine already. Do you want him to leave thinking "My dad died being such a pussy, all my problems are his own fault".I wouldn't use the word forgive, I would suggest you to stop being such a fucking bitch and fucking fix your life first before dumping it on others. He will fucking die and you will keep being the same shitter.
Your dad doesn't know how a loving family works. Such a person should never have been a parent themselves but hey, you can break the cycle
