I drink a couple beers before I have to do anything that makes me nervous. I know its bad for me but it works. How do i be brave without alcohol?
>>34910264You can't have love without hate. If you love someone you will innevitably hate the person who kills them. If you care that someone likes you, you will also care if they don't.You need to emotionally cut off people completely if you do not want to be affected by them.
Nihilism.
>>34910264If you want to be brave without alcohol you have to face your nerves without alcohol. practice makes perfect. The day before my first ever in-person tech interview for a $150k job i was shaking in my own home. I could hardly sleep that night. The morning of I was throwing up while eating breakfast. I was seriously debating bringing a bottle in the car with me so I could have a shot or three before I walked into the office. Despite my nerves and my known ability on alcohol, i decided against it and faced the interview sober. The reason is because 1. I knew it would make me dependent. If I started now I knew it would be harder and harder to stop drinking whenever i became nervous. i would become you now2. I knew it would suck but i knew it would make me stronger and the future would be better. Of course id be nervous the first time but the second time would only be easier. i knew i could do it.I was still shaking nervous driving to the office, parking, practicing my smile and lines in the car. but when i started checking in with the front desk lady i realized it wasnt that bad and my nerves started to go, and around 5 minutes after the interview started I realized that my nerves had subsided completely.i know my next in person interview will still probably make me nervous, but not vomit eating breakfast nervous. Progress! moral of story is being nervous without alc will suck now but it will get better, so stop drinking to calm your nerves. i believe in you!
