What are you supposed to do after work? When I'm done working for the day I'm too tired to do anything. I don't enjoy videogames, TV, etc. and my brain is too foggy to read. My job involves a lot of thinking so I can't focus on anything in the evening. This is affecting my work because I never really relax and unwind so I just feel dead all the time. I also have no friends/family/gf. What do I do?

Same boat anon. This is life I guess, repeating basically the same day over and over until my body is useless and I get to retire and then die.

>What do I do?

Not work. Leave work at work.

Save money in order to escape the grind for a few months, travel around etc. That's the only way I've known to effectively deal with having your life energy harvested by a fucking corporation.

I think that you need to think about your thinking patterns at work. Reduce your every day load somehow, otherwise the wheels are gonna come off.

>brain is too foggy to read

Three things

First: Do you sleep enough? How many hours? Some might need 7-8 hours for their body to work at optimol outputs. Have you considered taking a nap right after work?

Second: How is your daily dopamine dosage? Do you browse or watch videos during breakfast, lunch or breaks? Do you listen to music? What do you do before getting back home? Dopamine spiking throughout the early day could lead to being tired and brain foggy later.

Three: How is your diet? Too much sugar? How's your breakfast? Any slow carbs?

I've been there, except I do like video games, but work would leave me too tired to play them sometimes, and it would get frustrating because I felt like I was physically unable to do what I wanted to do. Even worse when I had projects I wanted to work on in my mind and getting home just no energy.

Take a nap. Getting a 20 minute to 2 hour power nap can recharge your brain which would allow you to read for fun. My routine became work, come home, short nap immediately, then I could do stuff. So if you can't read, nap then read.

Yeah. This is definitely something to try. Might be work, might be something else but to some naps are mandatory. Like in my family basically everyone from my fathers side of the family takes naps at midday.

My guess is not all brains take the amount of data the modern everyday has you consuming. It's a lot of work for the brain and not everyone has adapted to it. (Autism might also do that, have you getting tired)
