I'll just get it out the way: I'm not fat, a manlet and I shower regularly. Whenever I ask for advice online this is the first thing people assume about me, which hurts because it means that even though I am not one of those guys, I am on the same level as one of them.

>are you ugly?
In terms of looks, I have no idea. I used to think I was fairly attractive, when I look in the mirror I think I look okay, but now I'm not so sure. I think if I really wasn't ugly, I wouldn't be struggling so much, especially since I can't blame something else like being fat or short. Sometimes I see some really unfortunate people out in public and think "well, at least I don't look like that" but then I have to remind myself that that guy probably either has or had a girlfriend, so maybe I should be thinking I am the unfortunate person. One time I even saw one of these guys and I was thinking "maybe my life isn't so bad" and then his beautiful girlfriend walked up to him. She was the kind of girl I could only dream of, I remember seeing her earlier before I knew they were a couple and thinking "what kind of guy could get that as a girlfriend?". Turns out it's a guy I though was uglier than me, which means I really am deluded. It's hard to be sympathetic and not be bitter after that. Whenever people talk about their problems I have to stop myself from thinking "yeah, but at least you can get a gf". I even saw a homeless couple once. How low can I be if I can't get something even the homeless can find? I know I sound bitter and jealous but I try to fight it because I don't want to be that kind of person.

>are you unemployed loser
No, I have a decent job. I'm into swimming and I have a personal passion for art. I can clear the bare minimum for not being a complete loser.

>have you actually tried?
This is the first question asked online. At this point I'm not sure what else to try. I've tried every dating app I can find, I've gone to bars and clubs and social gathers to pick up girls. I guess the only thing I haven't tried is those paid speed dating events or paying a matchmaker (I looked one up, they are REALLY expensive). I haven't paid for premium on the dating apps either. I guess getting more views on Tinder and Bumble might help show me to more people, but if I get no real matches already it's hard too justify that. Hinge is pointless, no one replies to my likes so more me sending out more likes isn't going to help. Most of the time on dating apps I get no matches, I get maybe one every two months, and almost always they unmatch fairly quickly, usually before I can even say anything. The furthest I've gotten is arranging a date, but the day before she cancelled because she said she found another guy she was more interested in. Meeting girls IRL is the same, if I get a number it usually ends up with ghosting, basically an unmatch. Furthest I've got is the same, but at least the girl I met IRL had the decency to lie about her cat being sick instead, although she did wait until a couple hours before the date.

I've tried all the pua and looksmaxxing advice here too. Most of it seems geared towards picking up girls for one night stands, which I'm not interested in. I'm also on nofap lol, for pretty much a solid year after a few relapses. At this point I'm only on it because it saves time, there really is no magical testosterone boost or secret pheromone that attracts women when you don't masturbate. My main motivation to quit was actually how it made me feel to masturbate. I would usually just imagine myself dating a girl and masturbate to that image. I realised I was jerking off pathetically to what other people get to experience in real life, and what I was doing wasn't helping me achieve that in any way.

>are you autistic?
I think it's hard for me to claim I'm not at this point. But, honestly, socially, I'm not as bad as you probably think. I have no problem making friends, in fact there are friends I've met when I was out at bars looking for girls. I'm pretty friendly and approachable. I even have female friends. The problem is I can't seem to get any interest from girls in a romantic sense in any way. I can't make the leap and I don't know why. I obviously don't know any romantic social queues like when to kiss or hold hands becuase I have no exposure to it.

>why can't you get advice from your friends
This is the worst part, and the thing that annoys me the most, because the response always makes me feel worse. Everyone assumes I have no trouble with girls. I don't know why. I even have friends asking me for dating advice all the time, I try to help the best I can but I feel like such a fraud. Even strangers assume this about me. One time at one of the bars I went to I was in a group of people and everyone was talking about how hard it is to find a partner and one girl said "except for you anon, it's probably no problem". I don't know if it was because she was drunk or something but I have no idea why she thought that. The reaction I get when I tell people I've never had a girlfriend is almost always surprise. I told my friend one time I had zero plans for Valentine's Day and he said "of all people I would have expected you to have plans". Recently I told a female friend I had never had a girlfriend and she was so shocked she spent the rest of the night asking me about it, it was really awkward and embarrassing, especially because other people were there. Afterwards she did apologise but she did say it was because she was so surprised. Even my best friend, who I am the most open with, who knows how lonely I am, who knows how much I'm struggling, recently got a girlfriend. I asked him for advice and he said "I don't know why you're asking me, you've probably been on more dates than me", when I told him how many I've actually been on he just said "oh". He was also surprised when I told him I wanted a long term relationship because he "always saw me as the player of the group only interested in one night stands". What. This is a guy I've known since high school. I just assumed he knew I've never had a one night stand. That sounds harder to me than getting a girlfriend. I really have no idea why he thought that.

This shit just gives me a false sense of hope, it leads me to think I can't possibly be that ugly. But I must think my friends live in a different world than the one I and the girls I talk to live in. It's impossible to get advice from someone who thinks you don't have a problem, that's why I come here. You guys assume I'm some ugly troll but at least it's closer to reality than my friends assuming I am some pua master.

>lower your standards
Believe it or not, I have and I can tell that the people who give this advice have never actually done it. Girls are not dumb, they can tell when you're forcing yourself to be attracted to them, they can tell it's not real, and I think there is nothing more unattractive to a girl than them knowing you're not actually into them. One girl I tried with even said to me "I know you're not into me". That really affected me and it made me feel like such a piece of shit, because she was right and I was just trying to force it. There is no worse look on a girl's face than the one they make when they know you're not into them but you're still trying anyway. It's like a mix of sadness and pain. I hated it.

>why don't you give up
I think my only good quality is I never give up, on anything. This has helped in pretty much every other aspect of my life: school, work, my passions. There's never been anything in life that I couldn't achieve by trying harder and persevering, except for dating. No matter how hard I try, no matter how long it takes, I can't get anywhere. The worst part is, unlike everything else, I just don't feel like I'm improving. I'm just facing rejection after rejection without any sign of improvement. It's just constant hits to my self-confidence, and it only makes me more pessimistic and more anxious.

I do sometimes have thoughts of suicide and self harm. I even made a half hearted attempt at the peak of COVID but my dad called the cops on me. Sometimes when I see the train pull up in the morning I fantasize about just falling in front of it. My most frequent fantasy is cutting my face or pouring acid on it. My logic is I can't tell if I'm ugly or not, so if I ruin my face I'll know for sure, and kill any hope, because hope is what keeps me going, it's what stops me from giving up, and it's not helping.

I feel like I'm near the end of my 20s and near the end of my chance. I've missed so much time and opportunities that I'm never getting back and I just don't know if it's even possible for me to keep going anymore.

>what do you want
I just want a girlfriend, I've only ever wanted a girlfriend. I've never been interested in being a player or getting a high bodycount. I know it's embarrassing but I really am into that cutesy romantic stuff. I can't lie and say I'm not interested in sex but I do feel like it has to be with someone I actually have a connection with, but I'm mainly interested in the actual experience of having a girlfriend. The actual feeling of mutual love.

Cringe metaphor incoming: the difference between being single and being in a relationship is like the difference between Runescape membership and being a free player. Members get to go on amazing quests and travel to new lands and I'm stuck in Lumbridge, grinding cows.

I know half of you will make fun of me and the other half won't care but I'm making these posts in the off-chance that there is someone out there who knows something I've missed. Something I haven't tried. Some answer I haven't heard before. If you're out there, please help me.

Sorry this is so long (and I'm surprised it's as long as it is desu) but I wanted to cover everything so I don't get a lot of back-and-forth questions. I'm happy to answer any questions though.

TL;DR: I am a sad lonely FAGGOT. Here's some embarrassing information about me. PLEASE DON'T BULLY ME WITH IT.

This must be an advanced case of something is really the fuck wrong.
You might consider posting an image of yourself and blotting out your face.
Im gonna guess you are hard to talk to, particularly to a female though. Just from reading your friends surprise (prob based on your appearance) to your actual success.
When you are in a conversation with a woman ( irl) what do you discuss?
Also just going to throw out a few ideas:
You already have irl friends which puts you above most anons. Have you considered going out and having one of them play wingman for you? Ie go to a bar, they talk to the girls friends while you one on one talk to the girl you are interested in?
I would also look at social clubs and go to church. Id start planning to be busy and go out as much as possible. Itll give you new groups of people to meet up with in case for some reason you keep running into a genre of women that arent interested. I've only had good experiences from social events since its one of the last third places to be where people are open to conversation.
Theres a lot of variables here for you to he striking out on. Im not a dating app person but if i tried them again id use facebook dating.
Good luck man. Sounds like youve been on a tough road.

I stopped reading a paragraph into your larp
>>
>>34910863
I don't blame you for not reading it but it's not larp.
>>
>>34910878
I recognize your writing style. This is just another thread where you do a autism, lonely, doesnt understand women larp. I wish there was a way to rate limit you to making a single thread a day.
>>
>>34910928
See? I didnt even have to get to the part mentioning autism to know Op was making another anti autism larp.
>>
>>34910854
>This must be an advanced case of something is really the fuck wrong.
Kek, thanks for reading.
>You might consider posting an image of yourself and blotting out your face.
I was considering posting my face on the rate thread on /soc/ but I'm not sure.
>When you are in a conversation with a woman ( irl) what do you discuss?
It depends on the situation. I don't really have a set opening line or conversation direction. I usually just try to approach them as I would a friend and keep it casual, just talking about whatever comes up naturally. Sometimes the conversation comes easily sometimes it's a bit hard. It depends on various factors (and how much I've had to drink). The hardest part is usually actually approaching and trying to find the right moment to start a conversation.
>Have you considered going out and having one of them play wingman for you?
I've gone out with wingmen before, the problem with wingman is that the best wingmen are guys already in a relationship, but they will rarely actually want to be your wingman. Wingmen that are also single will focus too much on themselves and won't actually help you. I notice I have a bit more success by myself than if I try to pick up girls with friends.
>I would also look at social clubs
What kind of social events do you mean? I go to a few but I don't really have much more luck there than anywhere else. Are there any particular kinds of events you suggest?
>facebook dating.
I don't have facebook and I don't know anyone my age who does.
>>
>>34910976
I figured out the same. Unfortunately Op makes too many of these larp threads
>>
>>34910891
I don't know who you think I am but this is the only thread I've made today, or in months.
>>
>>34910997
>twist reality so much to desperately believe what he wants.
Op projecting why he larps to feel better about himself
>>
>>34911021
Guessing you were going to start whining about autism is a major tell that they recognized your larping style
>>
>>34911025
>whining about autism
If anything, I was claiming I am NOT autistic.
>>
>>34910928
If there is a hypergamy, I must be relegated to a special one because I have plenty of friends who have gfs, are getting married etc. and I wouldnt call any of them Chad. Even my friends who are struggling to find a gf are still getting dates and random hook-ups, which is more than what I'm getting.
I will admit when that girl on the dating app cancelled our date because she found someone better it did make me think of hypergamy though.
>>
>>34911034
No. I read op as a larp as well so my guess is thats a different anon who agreed that they read it that way too
>>
Your story is so boring and cliche that I don't wonder why other anons think its a larp

>>34910928
If there's nothing wrong with op how can anyone else get a date or get married.

>>34911032
Humans are the worst at recognizing themselves as ugly or problems with their own perception
>>
>>34910928
This is pathetic OP. Yes, I said it, *OP*.
>>
>>34911146
Agreed.
>>
>>34910770
Idk, to me it just seems like you're lacking masculinity above all else. You're probably social enough but your mentality with women is low test. Women want to be invited into your exciting life, not for you to change your life around her and rely on her. The person who relies on the other person is the more feminine one.
So you have two choices, either to start lifting or to find a masculine woman.
>>
>>34911212
Why do you think I want to change my life around a woman? I still want to keep my friends and hobbies.
Even if it were true I don't see how anyone could know that without getting to know me first.
>>
>>34911264
Im the second one you tagged. Something tells me you are oblivious how easy it is to tell when you larp op
>>
>>34911324
Says the person who tagged 4 people and said they are the same person
>>
>>34911260
Because you posted some Runescape shit about how a relationship would fix your life.
>>
>>34912041
I never said it would fix my life. I said that the experience of someone who can easily find a relationship and someone who can't is completely different. This is objectively true.

do you do drugs/smoke/vape/tattoos? have social media? are you white? tall? where do you live? you get NO matches on dating apps or you just dont like the ones you've gotten? have you asked grok AI for an honest rate? do you ask girls or wait for them to come to you?

>do you do drugs/smoke/vape/tattoos?
No
>have social media?
I have an Instagram I never post to and only use to message friends
>are you white?
Yes, brown hair green eyes
>tall?
I said so in my post, unless 6'3" is no longer tall
>where do you live?
Not going to dox myself. A major city in a Western country.
>you get NO matches on dating apps or you just dont like the ones you've gotten?
No and in nada as in nothing
>have you asked grok AI for an honest rate?
I used some AI facial harmony app but it seems like bullshit. I don't think AI can be honest, it will always say what you want to hear.
>do you ask girls or wait for them to come to you?
Like I said, I do actually try.

>i feel like that girl that stayed with you all night was interested
I'm not sure what girl you're talking about.

>>34910770
Right, I'm not reading all the way through that fucking lot, but I will say this: I was a full-blown khhv incel approaching my 24th birthday, but (as an oldfag) I now have a body count of 40, and have a very nice partner - we're coming up to our 14th anniversary. I'm not good looking, tall, rich, or fit, and I'm diagnosed autistic. What made the difference was really just two things: 1) Gradually realising that almost everything I thought I knew about women and what they want was wrong. 2) Learning how to convincingly mimic confidence.

Confidence is the single most attractive quality for women, and a visible lack of it is the most unattractive one. A lot of other things that you might consider relevant ultimately come down to that. Dressing smartly and having decent grooming, for example, are important; but they're important because they are confidence indicators: confident people take a little pride in their appearance, without going too over the top; people with no confidence and no self-esteem don't bother.

If you can manage not only to appear confident, but also to be funny, or at least reasonably entertaining company, then you likely won't have any problems at all.
>>
>>34914548
>No and in nada as in nothing
Jeez even I get matches every now and then on free tinder, and I'm still a virgin, with no "game" or "rizz/aura" none of them turn into dates though, a good amount are bots or terribly ugly hamplanets and troons. Matched a really hot pilates girl in my dms but she sent a few messages and hasn't sent anymore. Hasn't unmatched tho. Did you get cursed by a magic spell that says no women somewhere in your early life?
And no, ask grok for your honest no bullshit PSL and it'll be the most truthful of all of them. Other AIs called me chadlite but grok called me HTN close to chadlite. You could also check out the looksmax org for a rate but they're mostly retards

>I'm not sure what girl you're talking about.
the one you said spent all night embarrassing you with questions about never having a gf
>>
>>34910770
>I even saw a homeless couple once. How low can I be if I can't get something even the homeless can find?
Homeless couples usually bond over their love of hardcore drugs.
>>
>>34914607
>Did you get cursed by a magic spell that says no women somewhere in your early life?
My friends have a running joke that is exactly that

>the one you said spent all night embarrassing you with questions about never having a gf
One of my friends that was there said it did seem like she was flirting with me but I'm not sure her husband would agree.
>>
>>34914587
How can one be confident if theres nothing to be confident about?
>>
this is such a strange case because you have friends, you have FEMALE friends which means you can talk to women and the seen to think you're slaying pussy. are you just a mentalcel or what?
