Can you be successful in life and get a gf if you are quiet and never speak?
It is very, very, VERY hard. Being shy/timid is the absolute worst combination of traits if you want women.

Even if a girl threw herself at you (which as you've correctly ascertained, will not happen), you would STILL have to talk with her, have to flirt with her, have to escalate, etc.The only thing that changed in your scenario is the girl talked to you first. Ok...now what? That same mental block you're alluding to would still be there and always will be, unless you get under the hood so to speak and address the underlying cause.
