I want to be normal but people are either very annoying or surpass me greatly and make me feel insecure. I'm a very uninteresting person and not very intelligent so it's not hard for me to feel this way fairly often. I've never met anyone in my life I could ever let my guard down around. Socializing face to face is just not enjoyable for me because it feels too performative, I hate fake laughing at shitty jokes or having to hold my tongue because people might crucify me for my opinions. I've only finally just learned how to be capable of being functional in social settings after a decade of isolation but it is very hard.

>surpass me greatly
There's no objective standard to meet to have a social life, this is just comparing yourself to others meaninglessly.
>because people might crucify me for my opinions
You can have opinions and bring them up in ways that don't alienate people. If they're too extreme to bring up period, maybe work on it.

>a decade
Yeah, you've got your work cut out for you. But it's okay, you're not the first and won't be the last.
