I'm fairly ugly but I did have girls interested in me in the past but my fear of them finding someone else eventually made me sick so I prefered to be singleHow can I deal with it?
>>34915399You can't know and that's half the point. You can pick better partners to begin with and learn to treat them well, but worrying so much about an hypothetical that you never get into a relationship is not rational or healthy.
>>34915399Exactly. You are not being rational or healthy and I've seen you make these posts like you get off on being degraded judged. Please take a break from online.
>>34915425I just don't really feel good enough but I feel it has to do more with my upbringing and having experienced bullying as a child that broke something in me>>34915435I apprecIte the advice but this is the first time I post about this, you must be refering to someone else
>>34915453Get to know someone first and when you feel like you can trust them go for it. Your childhood and bullying are all things you can work through though. Same for your self-esteem.
That comes purely from your own insecurities. If you feel like you're not as good as other men, even if a woman is interested in you, you're gonna think "she has better options". I'm afraid that despite having people tell you that your fears are unfounded, the best way to fix this is by being the type of person that you feel would be worth staying with.
>>34915399There's a limit to the extent I can reassure you, here, because the truth is that absolutely anyone can be cheated on. Including, of course, women you are dating: you might cheat on them. Every relationship in the world ultimately depends on trust, and it is in the nature of trust that it can be betrayed, and sometimes is. If you could be 100% certain you can trust someone, you wouldn't *need* to trust them. Trusting someone is always a leap of faith. So yes, it is definitely possible that you will be cheated on, and it's an absolutely miserable thing when it happens. But what you also have to remember is that the only way you can guarantee you won't be cheated on is to remain single for life; and remaining single for life is also an absolutely miserable thing. So, your options are: 1) Stay single forever. 100% chance of being miserable for the rest of your life. or2) Take the risk of getting involved with someone. Approximately 12% chance of being cheated on. If it happens, you'll be miserable for a while, but not forever. If it doesn't, you might be happy. When you look at those numbers, you'll realise that it is worth taking the risk. Not taking it is worse.
>>34915453Ok well just so you know I didn't read any of this thread and don't plan on it
>>34915453>the first time I post about this, you must be refering to someone elseYour problem is too common with the type of anon that spams identical threads .As for your answer: of course you can get cheated on. Anything worth pursuing can fail so start with that mentality and be fine with things not working out. Then when you're doing the thing without pressure or expectation you'll find the thing failing less than all the time. Really, less than all the time is eb to succeed on.
>>34915470That's true, I think this fear definitely reveals traumas and fear I hid within myself because I did not want to deal with them and now they are manifesting externally, but now I can see my flaws better since I would like to think I'm more aware>>34915498True, I used to copy or emulate the guys my crushes were into, of course I was a teenager at the time but it goes to show how low my self-esteeem actually was/is >>34915511You bring a good point, in the end if someone wants to cheat they will so worrying about it does nothing, well, it could actually make things worse by making the cheating thing more likely to happen as a result of feeling worn out by the other person, I guess I also need to work on my neediness>>34915526Don't care>>34915656True, I used to put all my mental well-being onto a girl's hands and that drove me insane, so I should focus on loving without expecting anything in return just because I love that person sincerely, I haven't found that person yet but it would be nice to build something wholesome one day
>>34915714>so worrying about it does nothing, well, it could actually make things worse by making the cheating thing more likely to happen as a result of feeling worn out by the other person, I guess I also need to work on my needinessCorrect on all points. If you can't trust the person you're with, that lack of trust will destroy the relationship just as successfully as them cheating on you would.
