For a while now I have had a hard time developing and maintaining long term satisfying habitsAs a result I instead spend most of my time just doomscrolling and jerking off - very discontent with my life but having no real will to stop doing itRecently though I’ve developed habits in a more thought out wayPlanned times / cuesMinimums that aren’t overly high but still meaningful progress Still allowing free time to not feel crampedYet I’m still just feeling myself do a classic 180 and completely stop doing themI recognize I’m skipping them and feel complete disregard, zero guilt, in doing itI just don’t careI don’t believe this is the sort of thing I can just willpower in a just do it bro type way, and I don’t really think the whole “just lower how much you wanna do” or “just do two mins” is convincing eitherThat being said, I recognize that focusing on my current self and desires is foolish - I try to think of the end of the year: if I have done X amount of Y task I could have accomplished Z (and enjoyed it) but even that doesn’t motivate meI’m fine with letting it pass as long as I don’t spiralI’m fine with doing things Just don’t know howKeep in mind I just mean hobbies like reading books, writing, watching shows, basic everyday hobbies nothing grand or stressful at allRandom Asian foid OP

At a time like this it is probably more important to make sure you don’t do your bad habits rather than do your good habits
