girl on tinder just told me that opening up with "hi. how are you" is not ok and now I'm self conscious
is this unacceptable only on tinder or irl too? I am literally too socially stunted to open up with something different

>I am literally too socially stunted to open up with something different
You're not going to have much luck on Tinder, then.

In what world is the worlds most innocuous greeting not ok?

it signals you're not interested enough. girls expect you to open up with the angel fallen from heaven or with the pluto openers, if you don't they get offended

The fuck is any of that? Sounds like PUA bullshit. Nah, that doesn't work on anyone but sloots. A hey or a sup works fine.
>>
Tinder is shit. Use hinge, the way the profiles are set up on Hinge is infinitely easier to start a dialogue that isn’t just “hey”. Also seems to be way more real people on hinge vs Tinder.
>>
There is nothing wrong with it. Women say this when they are simply not interested probably because they didn't find you attractive but they wouldn't tell you that, it would make them look like shallow, vapid bitches (which they are), so they make up bullshit like this to explain the rejection

Don't be a dancing monkey for random women, you don't owe them entertainment, your time or attention. Unmatch and move on.
>>
They're mostly correct. That simple of an opener is not usually sufficient. It does not signal any interest in them as a real person.
If you're only looking for a hookup for sex like a degenerate, a simple "hey" is probably okay. Otherwise, if you are pursuing a real relationship, you should be making a comment, prediction, or inquiry about some element of their profile that you found appealing or interesting. Also it should usually just be a sentence or two, it's not like you need to write a whole essay. Or if you're some complete top 5% Chad, a simple opener will probably still work.
Sometimes, women's profiles are extremely plain, and there isn't much to comment on. In those cases you can either try to get really creative and pick for straws, attempt the "sup", or skip them and move onto someone who actually put more effort into creating their profile (the best choice).
This is not "jestering". This is not something you're doing just for the woman. This is something that you should be wanting to do yourself, as a real human-to-human interaction where you want to get to know the person.

Hinge is only slightly-less shit. Don’t use dating apps at all
>>
That’s kinda funny because they could just as easily not respond to you if they’re not interested. Easier, even, because then they can just do nothing. Your message somehow offended her, apparently
>uhm, exchuse me, I think -I- am worth a little MORE than hi hello.

For talking to npcs this is great. Makes you fit in with the npc vibe
