has anyone here every successfully got a job they weren't qualified for by using a fake resume and bullshitting? i was recentley talking to someone who got a job that pays $25 an hour like that and i'm so desperate i'll try anything should i just go for it?
>>

The worst they can say is no
But please do report back on your findings if you try this

I never once verified any reference or past employment and I’ve hired about 6 people. The way I see it, there’s enough shitty work, if someone can’t do the job, I’ll give them all the shitty work until they quit. I actually kind of like having an idiot hire. Sometimes I’ll get a real dummy that will stay in the job and do all the shitty work just because they’re desperate. It’s keeps morale good with other employees.

*I have hired about 6 SHITTY people, resume liars
>>
A friend of my grandfather ( intelligent guy but just a laborer) once pretended to be an architect and actually got hired at a semi-prestigious firm
He bluffed for a year or two untill they fired him. THen he used that as a resume to land another, much better job

Sadly the world has become too boring and centralized to pul that off nowadays

Was the firm named Vandelay Industries?

What work?
>>

I'm basically doing that now.

got my most recent job by bullshitting (on both exp and diploma) + nepotism
>>

Don't lie - exaggerate. Ever teach anyone to do anything? "Experience in training" Ever attend a meeting about anything? "Experience in group projects and brainstorming"

And be prepared to do some very fast learning on your feet if they do hire you
>>
>>34946046
Can you give advice on how exactly I would go about putting bs on the resume.
>>
>>34944709
lying is the backbone of making a resume in modern times
>>
>>34944709
Do you have relatives? Nepotism is one of the only ways in.
>>
>>34948713
Just make your resume or pay someone to write one for you. Also not more then 3 pages otherwise they won't read it then at previous work, you lie at previous work to get the job. Just write a fake company or a real company, but write down a fake email as the connect that is connected to you and lie, and that should be enough. Unless it's a high-paying job, since they check and verify all the information before hiring.
>>
I made it to round 3 and apparently my references didn't line up.

I think its because they wanted a girl instead
>>

I heard something like 101% of all new job growth since 2020 was women. It's impossible for a guy to get hired now. You need to exploit any connections you have, get hired where friends and neighbors and relatives work

> that pays $25 an hour like that and i'm so desperate
Trades pay this at entry level. Especially at industrial sites.
It has serious drawbacks on your health and your life. And these construction contractors tend to lay off huge amounts of people whenever they need to save money for next quarter.
But if you want to start earning that high tomorrow, they’ll probably just will take just about anyone right now.
You will be making data centers though.
> fake resume and bullshitting
I’ve gotten more interviews this way. But they’re usually also bullshitting about something.
Just try to make sure everything checks out at first glance and you can do follow up in an interview. I got totally blindsided the first time someone actually read my resume.
>>34945950
This is bait. Real bosses don’t give a shit about moral. They just find shitter work for the people that actually toughened it out.

Ok, from your experience does a basic hand made pdf resume work better than the ones generated from a template? Does it not really matter?

-English major
-Apply for not-too-techy job in tech company
-"What do you know about this technology?"
-"Nothing. Four months ago I knew nothing about Geoffrey Chaucer and I just got an A in the course. I can learn."
-Get job.
>>
>>34960774
>Tell the recruiter "I dont have experience but I can learn."
Nigga. Are you retarded?
>>
>>34960963
I got the job
>>
>>34963946
Yeah I get that would have worked 2 gorillion years ago when the job market wasn't fucked but not today.
>>
I haven't been getting offers myself. I strongly suspect that it's my old job telling others not to hire me when I get a background check.

I applied to Whole Foods, where I worked a year ago. I applied to another one in my city, and they wanted to interview me. I was very confident since I already had the job before, I told them everything and I still didn't get hired.

I can only think of a few possibilities. Either the other Whole Foods I worked at told them not to hire me (I was a bit slow and they have a speed req), I messed up by saying that I go to college (some jobs don't want that), or they found people who they wanted more (I don't even know how, I worked the same damn gig).
>>
>>34960963
That's how you're supposed to frame it. "I don't have experience, but I've demonstrated my ability to learn quickly – for instance, [story about learning quickly]
>>
>>34964178
No offense but if we have to resumemaxx to work at fucking WholeFoods then it's time to start burdenmaxxing instead.
>>
>>34964194
I got my first Whole Foods job without a resume, so I don't know why I'd be offended. Either way, I thought that it would give me an edge.

>I strongly suspect that it's my old job telling others not to hire me when I get a background check.
Kinda what I've been thinking of myself. There's nothing wrong with checking No on the "May we contact this employer?" button, right?
