>> my advice to you is to never let your children touch games and to let your friends and family know if they have a problem with gaming.

>> my question is there any hope for me making any meaningful strides now that i am solidly what i didn't want to grow up to be or am i so cooked i should donate my nonfunctioning kidneys to the Chinese government so they can study how to not make fat gay retarded millennials ever again.

I am 28 and everything is fucked up. Videogames are one of the things that make me cope, they make me live in the moment and so I think less about the past and future, about problems.
I wish I had better hardware but I don't have money. Escapism is the only thing that makes my life bearable.

Turning your life around is a choice you make everyday when you get out of bed.

You can always change and make a life worth living, you can start tomorrow or you can start in 10 years and regret not having started tomorrow.

I like the intent behind this advice, but quite frankly this is horrible advice.
Creating a company is just magnitudes harder now, and breaking into acting is basically impossible unless you look like a super model and have decent acting skills.

Actually it's just that you don't run. Just run about 30-40 minutes every day. I was you at 30, school dropout, very little work history, played games, no sex. Then I just started running 40 minutes everyday. Now I'm 43, school dropout, very little work history, played games, no sex. Except I feel like GOD.

There’s no escaping the regret.

You’re not as good at predicting outcomes as you think you are. Your beliefs about the future, good or bad, are illusions. The first thing you have to do is get over the fact you think you have it all mapped out or that it matters. Free yourself from that bullshit and then get to work.
