my girlfriend was staying at my apartment and sat down on my bed too hard and broke the bedframe
now there is a slumping hole at the edge of the bed
i don't care about the hole but the bed came with the apartment and is going to ask for my deposit on it
would i be an asshole to ask her for the money the new bedframe is gonna cost?
>>
fight the landlord on it imo, this is reasonable wear and tear

regardless you would be in the right if you asked her for cash but it would not do your relationship any favours lol, just take the hit unless you really can't afford it and she can

Unless she weighs 300 pounds, yes, you would be an asshole. The problem isn't that she sat down too hard, the problem is that the bed was defective. Honestly, I would expect the landlord to replace it.
