how do I do creative shit when I'm not inspired? I know what I need to do but am completely unable to build momentum when the spark isn't there. Even putting words down is hardI have ADHD, OCD, and some other shit, so that probably has something to do with it, but the meds aren't doing shit.

>>34962245Real professional writers don't wait for inspiration. They treat writing as a job. They go to their "office" every morning and write SOMETHING. If they're blocked on one project they put it aside and start another. If they can't start something new, they go back and tinker with something they wrote earlier. (Henry James and Tennessee Williams both published two different versions of the same works, and Shakespeare had two overlapping but different versions of King Lear). The act of writing, even if it's re-writing, keeps the muscles active and gets the juices flowing, and suddenly you're at work on a new, inspired project.
