I lost 2 jobs in 3 years.

1st job, the entire division was sold off and gutted.

This time, I was let go for not meeting expectations after 3 months. I was hired in a very different and niche industry, despite my extensive fintech and business experience, as they claimed I didn't need to know their industry, and to just focus on the business.

Turns out, I needed to know the industry. The client facing work was fine, but being expected to micromanage an entire project from scratch in an industry I have no idea on the inner workings on is baffling. There was very minimal support, which I have brought up many times.

In the end, they realized they did not set me up for success and underestimated the knowledge needed for their field, and gave me a very generous severance package. It still stings to be unemployed again though.
