does anybody find wearing clothes really uncomfortable? like it would be easier to wear a toga. I am to the point where I really only wear 2-3 outfits. went to school/college like everybody else, became homeless due to religious leanings, and now I'm struggling to re-adapt to mainstream society. does anybody have any advice or in a similar situation?
I realize there's not a whole lot to go on in my original post. mainly, I find clothes really inconvenient. this is due to my experience with Buddhism in which monks wear primarily plain robes. this cultural conditioning led me to become highly weary of how clothes are manufactured from the branding to the labels on clothes, the fact that you cannot find the perfect uniform. needless to say, I hardly buy any new clothes, lol. this is only one of my neuroses that I have developed since I was in my 30s. and i realize that it could be remedied by buying new clothes and dealing with it. I find clothes uncomfortable to the point that I have to take whatever I'm wearing when I get home, hang around in the house in pajamas for the most part.
>>34970763Stop being fat and clothes will fit better. Or start wearing 2XL 3XL stuff I actually like big T shirts and I'm average BMI
>>34970763>hang around in the house in pajamas for the most part.pajamas are also clothes sherlock.
I'm actually pretty light by most standards. but I could see how weight makes me enjoy wearing clothes less....... would rather have a uniform that works for every situation. hate being underdressed or overdressed and it sounds weird coming from someone who was homeless, but I don't like wearing poorly made clothes. >>34970846lol yeah. weird how that works.
I used to go to a place (meditation center) where they dress very neatly. they mainly used to wear white shirts and khaki pants, new age eclectic stuff. they have to dress appropriately so as not to arouse sexual desire. maybe if I wear stuff like that, I'll feel better. it also helps having a ideal situation to copy. if I had a job where there was a culture of dress, I might do better, but I am unemployed.
>>34970763Buy a weeks worth of high quality white shirts.Buy 2 pairs of high quality jeans. Buy 2 weeks worth of underwear and socksBuy 2 pairs of shoes, 1 comfy and 1 casualBuy 3 jackets, rain, winter, spring and fall.accessories are your choice. This is all a man needs. Buy well fitting clothes that are high quality.
>>34970869>it sounds weird coming from someone who was homeless, but I don't like wearing poorly made clothes. You probably dislike it because it reminds you of being homeless. It's not rocket science.
Clothes these days are designed for mass appeal and are thus shaped to fit an imaginary "mass" body, not individual body shape or comfort. Have you tried clothes that segment your body at exactly the points that your joints (e.g. spine, shoulder) flex? A millipede should have a separate tube top for every segment.
>>34970763Obviously. I wear bras. When you find something you like buy 6 of them.
>>34970763tl;dr yes. a lot of clothes are actually made badly to save on fabric and make mroe from one piece but also ...clothes are actually not made to accommodate a dick and balls. and women complain about bras. no standard pair of trousers or underwear has anything to accommodate your dick and balls, they are just crushed in there uncomfortably. This is peak sexual oppression, and no one talks about it. like imagine if every top was just super tight on the chest with no room for boobs, we'd never hear the end of it.I wear one size up or baggy work trousers. most comfortable trousers i own are a pair of "site" brand brown and black work trousers, they were only £15. they are deliberately made loose so you can move about on the job easier. most work trousers are, or they were untill for some stupid fucking reason they started making "slim fit" work trousers ??????>>34970795>this is due to my experience with Buddhism in which monks wear primarily plain robes. this cultural conditioning led me to become highly weary of how clothes are manufactured from the branding to the labels on clothesyeah I hate printed t's or brands, i wear a lot of plain army surplus, you can find very very cheap olive drab, green, dark, neutral and earthy tones in army surplus. they're also more comfortable, just get the right size.>hang around in the house in pajamas for the most part.a lot of people do this. a well fitted suit is very comfortable though. despite the lack of ball accommodation.to sum up; a lot of clothes just don't fit anyone well because they are tailored badly, find a good fit and a good SIZING for you. like I wear 2 inches up in waist size for comfort.
