20 years old male, 3rd year med school, high functioning autistic, just got out of a 2 years long dysfunctional relationship that I got in by what I'd call now a mistake. Getting over it now. Because of it, I barely made any connections during my previous 2 years of university. I talk to people, I'm not that misanthropist, but I feel like I'm annoying everyone. When I first meet people, I barely can get a word out. Then, after I get to know them a bit, I turn maybe involuntarily into this "Michael Scott from The Office" kind of character and I hate it. Too talkative, socially awkward, all that stuff. I don't know, I hate myself for it.How do I start making friends, colleagues, maybe even another relationship? I feel like people hate me. For looks I'd say I'm a 5, if I wasn't tall maybe a 3. I look like younger Paul Dano if he lost some weight an wore glasses. Been to some therapists, they told me some usual schmuck about self worth etc. how I should find the inner beauty, but newsflash, there isn't one.
Do you want to talk to people?
