Hey! English isn’t my first language, and I’m not a frequent user of this site. I only got into it recently, so I don’t really know all the rules or the inside jokes yet.My problem is that I have a really hard time finding a guy friend or a boyfriend. I’m at university, and there are tons of guys there, but literally NONE of them ever approach me. And when I try to start a conversation myself, they often seem like they don’t really want to talk or just feel awkward. I honestly have no idea what I’m doing wrong.I’m not ugly-looking, I’m average height and weight, I take care of my hygiene, don’t wear a ton of makeup, and dress in a way that I personally think looks nice. In general, I actually get compliments from girls pretty often. But when it comes to guys… it’s a whole different story. It’s honestly awful.I don’t know what I could possibly be doing wrong. I’m genuinely interested in talking to people, but I don’t have much experience interacting with guys.So I wanted to ask for some advice or maybe your thoughts on what could be wrong with me, or what I could do differently?
>>34977422So most men are logic driven. If they feel that the risk out weighs the reward then they aren't going to try.So unless a man perceives you to be a genuine 10/10 they worry that it isn't a worthy risk. Your best bet is to start approaching men you find attractive.Otherwise you might be waiting a long time.I mean genuinely, why would a man approach you? Ask yourself and do some introspection.I don't approach random women. I have a friend group that helps play matchmaker. You do have a mixed group of friends who could help set you up on a date right?
>>34977422You need to ask one out. It is that simple. Do not reply to me "but but, gender roles, I don't want to ask boys out, that's scary". You got to do it, that's how you get a bf
A man isn't going to drop into your lap. Life isn't a Hollywood movie. You have to put yourself out there. Try school clubs or places that are not your classes. Make friends with other women who know decent men to pair you with.
