do the trades really pay as well as people say? the job market in my city is at an all time low.i'm filling out hundreds of applications a week trying to quit my current shit hospital kitchen job and not getting anything back.and these are for basic jobs mind you.i could go to uni but i hear that doesn't gurantee a good paying job anymore so all i would end up with is a mountain of debt.are the trades worth it?

Yeah a gorillion nigga bux ahoy. Follow the herd, goycattle.
>>

Try to find another job in the hospital.
Its not gonna make you mega bucks unless you are wise with the dough.
Be careful what you choose though. Id focus on electrician. Jobs like roofing are for felons and illegals.
>>
>>35000635
electrician/plumber/carpenter jobs are all booked for months in advance
but you usually need a lot of training and then apprenticeship before you can start doing any of this shit on your own
>>
>>35000710
i really hate that fucking place
>>

i'm thing about looking into welding
>>
I heard you only reach the +100k threshold if you own your own business.
The ideal move as a tradie is to work under a company for 10 years, gain exp, make your own business and work whenever you want.
>>

underwater welding basically guarantees a well paid job, but its difficult, puts a strain on your health and you will move a lot to various job sites for long periods of time at a time
>>
>>35000635
Hahahah we got another one.

Go into trades goy. It's based and right wing, and will make the people working from home furious. The people you hate will think about your success all the time and they'll be so mad when they find out you make almost as much money as they do. They'll probably envy your dangerous working conditions and complete lack of work from home too.
>>
There are plenty of truck driving companies that will contract you to learn and work for them for a couple years, no family obligations? Then the job is perfect for you, live as a long haul trucker, see the country, and make big bucks.

Yes and no. You will outearn low rank service economy shit and often can pickup massive amounts of hours, especially if you're a contractor and just get every single job you can find and not care - then you're getting into really nice income. Is it healthy and sustainable? No. Can you as a young man decide to spend a year or two on this kind of grind and just use the financial cushion you've earned to allow yourself less straining work in the future? Yes. Just remember to not blow it on cars, cruises or other stupid garbage, otherwise you've just wrecked a year or two on bullshit. It requires this very bourgeois mindset for it to succeed you see.

The real money however is to be made when you're able to scale it into a business actually employing other people, but as you can guess not everyone will be there and I don't think you should go into trades thinking that's what you're going to do.
So if what you want to do is roughly 40 hours work week you're better than your current job but don't expect a fortune, if you want to rack up massive workload and only come home to sleep then you will see some serious money, there's a small chance you'll eventually just turn it into a business and then it's a massive thing.

University I'll generally say you should be cautious. There are degrees that will pay well there are some that won't. You'll also have to compete with h1b swarm for the well paid career paths early on so what happened is that it used to be that you'd have a lot of people who studied I don't know - English literature and hated their decisions, but you've had an electronic engineer who earned above average in his first job, now English lit still hate their decisions but electronic engineers have to spend some years being bottom feeders and competing with entire third world for their position before they can make decent money. It'll also take many, many years before you actually graduate so the reward being even more delayed matters.

no they don’t
this whole trades pay so much is a jewish psyop to send the goyim do work they wouldn’t do themselves
these fags will say go do trades and send their kids to yale law school

>just waste the most precious time of your life making barely minimum wage destroying your back and joints so you can start bro!

As someone who is in trades I can tell you, it depends where you will be working, your skill and what will you be doing. I currently work in a factory as a welder, the machine does the welding and I just set it up, the pay isn't great, but I'm inside and there is work all year long. If I was working outside I could probably make more money but I would have to deal with the weather and some days you just can't work so no money that day. So when doing trades you need to consider your workplace. If you are skillful you can make money on your own, I know a guy that makes furnaces for roasting and he makes a ton if money but he has been welding for decades, I also know people who do construction and they can earn a couple thousands of euroes a week. When starting out you will buts you ass off. Now when doing trades if you do things that are safer you will earn less, but working on heights or working in dangerous locations can help you make a ton of money, some other welders make twice my pay but they work in open pit mines, with the fumes, dust and harsh tempature. The best thing about trades is that you can learn to fix things and save some money that way or if you get good you can even earn extra money, but if you go into trades you will fuck up your mind, because you will work with some fucking retards, and body, because trades aren't easy.

The alternative being going homeless and starving to death because nobody is hiring anywhere else, great plan
>>
>>35000750
Where do you think all this welding is happening? There are way more certifications than there is a need for welders. Would not hurt to learn it though.
>>
>>35000635
If you're not white, go back to wherever you came from. The grass is not greener here because the ones who beat you here already dried it out.
>>
>>35000635
You could go to uni and go with a degree like accounting or law. Big con to this approach is the time commitment.
>>
>>35000635
>do the trades really pay as well as people say?
depends on how hard you graft, I know multiple tradesmen pulling in over £140k a year solo
>>
Can't you look up the pay per hour and see for yourself?
>>
Retards still equate entry level grunt jobs to trades ITT.
>"Muh back-breaking job!"
Not in this century besides few select jobs where there isn't any other option(and it pays for that extra work, btw). A lot of play-pretend office jobs are mandated by the government to employ females and they won't hire you.

Trades are a mixed bag, you do have the ability to make good money, and start earning faster than your college-educated counterparts. But, the cost is usually the destruction of your body a far faster rate. I'm in medical school right now, it's a lot of work, but I have a guaranteed job in the future that will never go away. But, I won't start making my full salary for at least 6-8 more years. Those years of lost income do matter in the sense that if I was earning and investing my money from right now, the compounding interest could give me a pretty nice nest egg to retire on.

Before I started medical school, I did work for a bit as a laborer on the natural gas pipeline, and it fucking sucked. The money was undeniably good, but the work was grueling, and looking around at my coworkers, you could see the future awaiting you, destroyed bodies and (very often) at least a few failed marriages, because being away from home for 3 months at a time is rarely good for a relationship. Beyond that though, what goes along with earnign well from a young age, is having a young persons mentality to money, something a lot of bluecollar men never grow out of. They trap themselves into cycles of buying expensive toys like motorcycles or ATVs, and lease trucks they can't afford because the good times feel like they'll never end, right up until the job that promised to be around to 2 years dries up after 6 months. So even if they earn well throughout their career, I can count on one hand, the number of guys I used to work with, that will ever be able to retire, or at the very least fully own their own home and cars.

Now, this isn't objectively tied to the field, but it's a common enough occurance to at least be aware of if you want to go into it, so you can avoid the outcome

You will hate it less the more you get paid. How about security guard? Hospitals have that.
