I was arrested for the reason that I attempted suicide. The way the cops found me was I told 988 I took an overdose of pills and the police tracked my cell phone to my house. I spent 2 days in the ICU before I checked myself out against medical advice. The entire experience was embarrassing they made me put my hands on the front of the cruiser while they patted me down in front of all my neighbours. I am mostly super pissed with the 988 responder who decided to turn me in and I vow never to use such a service again or the same thing will probably happen. What would you do in my situation? It’s been three days since this occurred and I still can’t wrap my head around the fact it actually happened.

So atleast enjoy that time and fill out bucket list before that time is up. That’s what I’ve been doing. I asked out the girl I liked and I now have a gf. I took the chance into buying figures and now I have a small but mighty transformer collection. Don’t give up now and leave everything you wanted to do for granted. I still want to die but I understand that death is coming for me anyways so atleast enjoy the time you have. Be a little more selfish of hedonstic

I can’t remember the law but it’s section 17 or something of the mental health act where they can apprehend you but there’s no 28 day requirement attached to it in Canada.

The time my mom turned me in was justified but the time my sister did it was just stupid. I had a friend who's ex did it her just to be petty. But that's not nearly as bad as what we refer to as being sectioned. That involves a court order. Section 5150 allows emts and police to apprehend you and place you on that 72 hour hold against your will but section 12 allows for people to petition the court to keep you in the psych ward for up to 6 months.
