I have a crush on a guy I've been best friends with for 3 years. Me and him both like gravity falls. My plan is to give him that stupid bill cipher "I like you for some reason" card and maybe some chocolates, because if it's funny, it'll be less awkward, right...? I severely doubt he likes me back, but I want to get it off my chest in a way that's the least awkward possible. And also, should I do it on something like Valentine's or just whenever?
>>35007245A confession based on a shared interest isn’t shit at all. Also mabel has a cute personality in that way so you could probably do something with that too. A lot of young ladies seem to highly underestimate the use of being cute and nice. It can mean a lot more than looks, especially today. That’s not a guarantee and I wouldn’t encourage you to have delusional confidence but at least go into it with the attitude that it’s not a completely lost cause.I wish this did not have to be said but knowing this board and the posters we get sometimes>IF he is straight and you are some kind of gay/bi-man/tranny, then leave him the FUCK alone with it.
>>35007254Op here. Thanks for the advice, and I am, in fact, a woman.
>>35007245>but I want to get it off my chest in a way that's the least awkward possibleyour choice of a cheesy card is the most awkward choice possiblewhy can't you just talk to him in a somewhat private setting and say a single sentence something like "I've got a question for you. Would you like to go out on a date with me?" bam, you're done. Either yes or no. The way you're going about it you're going to die from a heart attack from all the adrenaline buildup and the ritual of preparing the card, the words, the setting to give it to him, etc He's a dude, you need to be straightforward
>>35007338and skip the valentine's shit, just do it tomorrow or today. Dating is not a holiday, it's as common as taking a shit
>>35007338I think the cheesy card is adorable but yeah it could easily be misconstrued
>>35007245Thats cute, you should. If he's interested that sounds like a good way to break the ice.
>>35007245Suppose he doesn't realise you're being serious, and just thinks you're being cute and silly but have no actual interest in him - then what? Because that could very easily happen. That would probably be my assumption. If you want him to know how you feel you need to actually tell him. If you don't, there is a high risk he will not get the message. Men communicate much more literally than women: what you think is a completely clear and obvious hint, is invisible to a man. You need to actually tell him how you feel. The card could, I suppose, be a first step; but it won't be enough.
omg you're not in a silly movie for teenagers and you're not 10 years old, that is not how people go about these things. pls don't do this, just ask him out on a date and see if it works
>>35007245sounds cute OP guess it'll come down to the guy himself no one here can make a reliable prediction about that>And also, should I do it on something like Valentine's or just whenever?guys don't care about this as much, usually just a nice bonus if it's on a special day I'd say but not a necessity
