It can be problematic. But I think it's become a bigger issue for emerging couples in the last 15-ish years. Politics used to be a very dry, boring subject, and most people were either not interested or didn't care save for the scandal that happened here and there.

Trump being his usual self hasn't helped, and social media has been one of the greatest destabilizing tools in the west. Yuri Bezmenov Speaks about this in his book Love Letter to America, how Russia has been working to destabilize the USA by trickery and propaganda and politics. So yeah, you have to deal with that. Women tend to be more liberal and left leaning because left politics are something they agree with, doubly so if they live in a city and doubly so if they interact with the lower class or minorities or the disadvantaged. It is fashionable for a woman to be liberal, many do it just for that, to "virtue signal" and earn social points and status.

That said, I know many older couples that married and lived full lives and had long, healthy, fruitful marriages but the husband and wife had completely opposite beliefs. They simply agreed to disagree and were mature enough to love each other for other facets of the person, such as their caring qualities and such. I do not know if the average woman under 40 today is capable of that, maybe some are, but some are more vocal than others.

If she is quiet about her beliefs and you are respectful with eachother, it might work. If she is vocal and aggressive, she wants you to change and it will not last.

You not agreeing with your partner on who to vote for isn't something substantive, nor does it matter for your daily lives so long as you both can set ground rules for not trying to convert the other person over to your "team" and not being judgmental towards them either for preferring something you don't prefer. Set shared boundaries and respect them. Especially if neither of you are mature enough to discuss anything relevant without reserving judgement, or without getting too emotional about it.
