I want to be a good christian and follow God but I like goth girls a little too muchHow can I reconcile this?
>>35015182Solutions.a)the optimal solution: You stop being christlarping faggotFailing that, theresb) You stop being a coombrained gooner and unfollow your onlyfans whores until your brain resets and you start being attracted to normal everyday womenc) you take a prude christian girl and tell her to dress like a Goth, because its nowadays just a fashion statement and not connected to any particular worldview
Marry a goth cutie, go to church (nothing low protestant, I would hope), and have many children. Simple.
Goth bitches can go to church. Post seems fake and gay
Bump
>>35015182I'm a Catholic who has dated goth/alt girls even self identifying wiccan girls. If you're actively living out the faith and treat them with piety and respect regardless of their life style they will gravitate towards you. It's one of those phenomenons that people don't talk about and studies don't look into because it's ultimately trivial and banal. But what happens is the opposite attraction rule eventually hits, because people tend to want what they don't have, and that includes lifestyle and personality traits. Straight laced christian man who tries to remain normal and orderly has a thing for the chaotic rebellious girl. Chaotic rebellious girl has a thing for what she sees as the peaceful and put together man. It's just culturally wrapped in goth clothes and Sunday best church attire is all.Anyway, don't bother trying to seek them or make games to lure them. If you happen across one naturally, just treat them as you would a fellow Christian, even if they identify as being your opposition and claim to worship Satan or Lilith or something. Just ignore the noise and treat them with compassion and fairness. If something happens out of it, it happens. If it doesn't it doesn't
>>35017904Great advice. Did you ever feel like they were trying to tempt you into going to the 'dark side' did he friction ever cause harm to your relationship?
>>35017907No. One would on occasion try to initiate conversations about things like tarot, the occult, divination, contacting spirits and so on, sharing her experiences. I neither judged her or tried to silence her, I just let her say what she wanted to say because she was just trying to show me the roadmap of what she felt was her life at the time. I kept my mind focused on her as an individual rather than the themes of the things she'd practiced. Sometimes I'd tactfully entertain the conversation by steering things into a fun and speculative late night talk about existence and philosophy in general. If she asked about the faith or my relationship to God, I'd tell her without preaching, I'd just tell her my testimony and that's all. The relationship ended, not even because of spiritual difference, just that I was too soon out of a break up and she had still been fighting with baggage from her own life and neither of us could make something work out of it.
>>35017909>>35017907One thing I forgot to include. That's one thing that was genuinely refreshing and fun, the depth of the discussions and the shared philosophizing and abstract convos can go on forever with goth/alt chicks, at least from what I experienced, they tend to be pretty smart with vivid imaginations
>>35017909Makes sense. Out of curiosity, how should I go about it if I think that her contacting spirits could potentially put her soul at risk? I know it sounds judgemental but it also comes from a place of worryHow were you able to make the situation fun and lighthearted?
>>35017919I'd just say to remember that even if the girl is a goth and wearing black and has makeup all over, that's just decoration. It's not even skin-deep, it's only threads and whatever material they used to produce makeup. That she is a daughter of God, whether or not she acknowledges it, whether or not other Christians may claim she isn't or some of them may say she is a 'bad' child of God. Just acknowledge she's a child of God, like you, just taking a different journey. It's okay to hope that she 'comes home' and one day seeks Christ. But remember, Christ didn't chase down his disciples and demand they follow him. They followed in their own accord, Christ waited no matter what. The devil kicks down doors, Christ simply knocks and waits. As for her soul, demons or 'spirits' cannot claim it. The trick of the whole demonic thing is it can convince people that it can. It can't, that's why the angels tell us 'do not be afraid'. Because genuinely, the devil can't take your soul from you or anyone. So, if a goth girl you're seeing is doing that sort of thing, just be there and provide a light for her, that's all.
>>35017925Thank you Anon, what you said was beautifully insightful, I'm really grateful. Hopefully I can be less judgmental and forgiving one day, because I don't really want to hurt others
>>35017928You and me both. I still falter and screw things up. We will always fall and fail, pride will always be a weight on our crowns to drive us into self righteous demonization of other children of God. That's part of the spiritual warfare, the devil is crafty in that he can make children of God want to annihilate each other. And he doesn't need to lift a finger, he can even use the faith itself to twist Christians into doing his bidding. But ultimately the responsibility falls on our free will. We can just simply choose to love the other, compassion, piety and respect are choices to give. God gives it to us for free so it is only right and just to give it to others freely, even if they're goth or whichever form or style they identify as.
