This is gonna be mostly rambling but I'll try to make a point. Most of my childhood I didn't really consistently have friends or really any hobbies except video games. I had one close friend in high school but he left. I didn't really have any personality except for being good at guitar. I would always barely pass my classes and go home and play video games and be addicted to porn. Even when I quit porn for a year and got really good at guitar, I was still a weird outcast in high school. I went back to games and porn now in community college, because nothing I've tried works. Every time I've tried to change my life or be interesting/interested, it's never worked, and the few people around me are similar, just work and then tv or something similar. So how do I stop the cycle?
>>35016298The actual problem, as I see it, seems to be a like of purpose/meaning/direction. The "solution" is simple, not easy, but simple: through introspection and experimentation you need to find a goal that sounds interesting or fulfilling enough to pull you out of this haze of self-indulgence, laziness and stagnation and start moving towards it. Since I'm a fairly regular lurker on /adv/, I suppose you'll deflect what I said and then start arguing in favor of the problems you were originally complaining about. If that's not the case, then I apologize in advance.
>>35016321Correction: "...seems to be a like <-[lack]"
>>35016321I think I did do that though. I did get really good at guitar, and I thought that would help make me not feel worthless around people. Help make me not socially inept. But it did just made me weirder because I never talked. You are right though that I don't have any "idea" for my life or anything. Every time I've tried to do stuff to find that "idea" it's just failed though.
>>35016344I'm not esl btw, I just phrased that weirdly.

>>35016410How is that supposed to address what I'm talking about?
