Should I just go back to college and get an accounting degree?

Well if you have any kind of bachelors, the better course would be a master's in accounting. It'll only take a year as opposed to four years

wageslaving it's not worth it desu

I graduated with an accounting degree 2 years ago and could not get any job related to it after hundreds of applications. If you don't get a Master's or CPA it's basically on the same level as shit like gender studies.

having degree doesn't help
>t. I studied 6 years for masters and jobs I'm offered have worse wage than McDonalds

Yes, its gonna suck but I know that's the path cause my friend did it. He's currently in school getting ready to take his CPA's next year. He said its gonna be a bitch but he also got a internship with one of the big 4, so yeah. that's what you gotta do otherwise you're just bullshitting in accounting

5-6 years from now the accounting profession will be almost completely consumed by AI. There will still be some jobs for fact checking the AI, but these will be for experienced accountants. There will be no entry level positions, as the consensus will be that by the time all the current experienced people retire AI will be advanced enough to not need fact checked.
