Why is it so hard to acquire a life full of glory and adventure?
>>35019537It's really not. You just need to go out there and take it. In fact, it's never been easier. My buddy did a 2 year motorcycle trip and thanks to the internet he was able to post shit and 3 random people became his benefactors to pay for his gas and food so they could see what he got up to. Got to see the entirety of North America, learned pretty good Spanish and French through complete immersion, lived on a rez for 3 months, slept in an abandoned RV in the Yukon like that McCandless guy, woke up to a saltwater crocodile next to his tent in the Keys, and a bunch of other cool shit.
>>35019545That requires money and you'll have to wageslave for it unless you win the lottery. How about interstellar travel, I'll never live long enough to see if it's possible to travel between stars or even galaxies. I want more.
>>35019537All right, here's the budget adventurer's guide from my experience.>adventureReally easy to get yourself into an adventure IRL. There are SO many peasants with quests. Seriously. Most are too stupid to post rewards, but if your looking to increase your charisma and social stat's going out of your way to ask someone if they need help can go a long way.If your looking for dungeons, there are tons of ruins, urbex locations, caves and trails if you wander far enough. You can plunder loot (though it massively tanks your reputation) from geocaches. If you looking to gain XP mobs mostly spawn at night. A majority of them a neutral and you can easily take quests from a majority of them if you have high enough charisma. >gloryIt's tough to get glory, far easier to farm imfamy. The best way to gain glory is to properly create a party. Social stats are key here and you have to really make an impact if you want to gain glory from a local village. Pro tip, talk with high ranking officials to find heavy impact quests (note this can often require a small to decent amount of gold).A few free classes and what you can do IRL to claim them.>HerbalistDrop wild flower and fruit seeds. Learn to harvest them and grind them in a mortar to make balms. You can sell them at farmer's markets for a ton of gold.>Animal TamerMost birds need food. You can train them if your patient enough. It's also possible to gain a companion animal, though it's limited to domesticated ones (they patched out combat companions a while back to prevent them from becoming too powerfull) >ClericFind your local church and start pumping into your knowledge stat. Read the book and head down the path towards mystic skills. (As an example, use the Holy Spirit to attain the power to cast out demons, super helpful when combating satanists and arch mages)1/2
>BarbarianThere are local fighting guilds where you can easily train. There are tons of folks that use them to max out their strength, but if you use the wrong potions you will get utterly wrecked. >EscortYou can actually take on a ton of fetch and escort quests if you speed stats are high enough. If not, try gaining a mechanized mount. It's a good way to farm gold.>NavigatorLearn to use a map and compass, as well as how to properly treat the local wilderness. If your nearby one you can start foraging and crafting if you focus more into herbal strats. >MinstrelYou have to start somewhere. Just go out in public and make up an act. Juggle, tell jokes, play an instrument. Just have fun with a place to drop gold. Kind of a waste of time in my opinion. You can more easily use your time to develop skills as a bard.>MercenaryYou can actually go to a mercenary guild to pick up some criminal bounties in certain places. Though note it can damage your reputation and hurt your moral stats if you pick an innocent person. The payouts fairly good but the damage rate can be waay to high if your not prepared for it.
Why not enjoy the life you have? Is it just not intellectually stimulating enough? If so maybe you need to try to relax more often.
>>35019537Wouldn't be glory and adventure if it was easy to obtain.
