my childhood best friend and i have recently started talking again these past few months. we've been hanging out and calling almost everyday usually for about 7-9 hours and its genuinely been the only happiness ive felt in a very long time. just thinking about spending more time with her is enough motivation to get me through my day and i think it's safe to say that i love this girl to death and want to pursue a life with her. the problem is i really can't tell if she feels the same way as she's extremely shy and emotionally contained, the type that you would have to make the first move on, only i'm worried that if i do that it would fuck up everything that we have if she were to say no. are there any indirect ways for me to find out if shes interested without potentially losing my best friend? i don't mind normal flirting and teasing i just don't want to look like a retard and ruin everything by doing so. also should i be worried if she has like 1-2 other guy friends that she drinks with sometimes?
