I just don’t understand. We had, for all accounts and purposes, a bad relationship. He broke up with me. I eventually started dating again. He found out. He’s seeing someone else too. So then why would he still reach out after several months?
Are you sure he also thought you had a bad relationship? It's possible he thought you were cool and just wanted to check in. Normally people don't break no contact with exes until they've found someone else. And even if you both share the opinion that it was a bad relationship, everyone has regrets and maybe he just wanted to check in.
BlockNothing good comes from it
>>35024498"Checking in" in these circumstances is not a good thing and should be ignored
>>35024498I do believe he thought it was a bad relationship, or at the very least not a good fit. Looking back I agree too. However, at some point, we did come to love each other, as is with how close we were all the time. I do admit that we could have been good friends outside of everything that happened. It was just so tumultuous.
>>35024498Normal and understandable=/= good for you
>>35024502>>35024513I totally agree but OP asked why he did it and not what to do about it.>>35024510It's possible to love someone and just not be a good fit. Either way I agree with the others. I wouldn't ignore, but I wouldn't humor him. Even if you're just trying to be polite and you're both seeing other people, it's possible a long, quick reply will send the wrong message and reignite his feelings (or your feelings) and that'd be awkward. And for what it's worth, you're not in the wrong to ignore an ex.
>>35024491Ask him not us
When she messages me, its between her and i. She remembers our truth, our love for each other. Home.
>>35024834Nigga plz
>>35024884The translation will be clear for her when we see each other, hear each others voice, how I take her every way she has ever yearned for
Why did he break up with you? Do you have BPD?
>>35024491Maybe he's looking to cheat and thinks that you might be a source of free sex. Maybe he thinks breaking up with you was a mistake and he would like to get back together. Maybe he feels that the two of you need some closure which you have not had yet. Maybe he's looking back on how things went with you, or how things ended with you, and he thinks he didn't behave well and he would like the opportunity to apologise properly. Maybe he thinks *you* owe *him* an apology. Maybe he has reached the point where being completely platonic friends with you feels like a possibility and he is wondering if you would like to give that a try. Maybe he's wondering if you still have that jacket he left in your house one time. It's impossible to say. Why don't you ask him?
>>35024491You both already moved on there is literally NOTHING worthwhile to be gained by reinitiating contact now. You should honestly be mad at this guy. Now your mind's in turmoil because of something retarded and impulsive he selfishly did.
>>35025212Well in my case there's everything for her to gain with me
>>35024491For sex
>>35024896He said I acted like I did. But he had his own issues too. Now that I think about it: I’ve softened my thoughts over time. I guess he might have come to that realization sooner than I did. I did miss him a lot when he first left. But that ship has sailed.
>>35024491he hasn't gotten laid in a while, and is horny and it's making him sentimental t. do this all the time and love the sex but women cannot handle the emotions
I’d never admit it but I’d love to kiss him again.
>>35024491Either he wants sex or a sense of control over you even though you aren't together anymore. In both cases you should ignore him
